"Hey! You're back from the bathroom!"
"Yeah what did I miss?" Hitomi smiled sitting down next to her mother
"Uhh... Ryuu's out cold"
"Huh? Is he ok? What happened? What did I miss? Mom?!" Hitomi stood up wrong her seat
"It's nothing serious. A girl with a spider quirk asked him to join her group and he just. uh. fainted"
"Oh.. I guess-"
"IS HITOMI CHEERING HER CRUSH ON?" The loud voice of Present Mic echoed
Hitomi turned her head towards her uncle in embarrassment then looked down and saw the guy she proposed to...
He was making Izuku go out of bounds...
"I WAS JUST GOING TO GET SOME WATER!" She yelled at her uncle before her mother handing her a bottle with water.
Aizawa was glaring at Mic. He wouldn't tell Hitomi that he was her father, but nobody was stopping him from acting like one.
"I believe she was just trying to get to her brother. Now, will you stop harassing the girl?".
"Sorry".
Hitomi embarrassed dashed to the nurse's office where she met with Recovery Girl.
"Here for Ryuu, sweetie?".
"Yeah..."
"Hitomi! It was terrible!" Ryuu clutched the girl's shirt "This big as f-" he glanced over to Recovery Girl "This huge spider! A gigantic spider!"
Hitomi sat down on his bed, put her hands on his cheeks, and mouthed a small 'idiot'
"That was a student......" She sighed "You gotta man up a bit! I won't be always here to scare off the spiders!"
"Yeah.." Ryuu laid back on his bed "Wanna stay here for the rest of the day?"
"What about the sports festival?"
"We've seen it at least a million times," Ryuu rubbed his eyes "what difference does it make?"
Hitomi stood up and stretched "This time, our friends are participating in it." She said, laying down on the bed next to Ryuu's legs.
"Next year as well."
"I guess you're right," Hitomi said "Let's stay here, like old times"
"We don't hang out as much anymore..." Ryuu playfully kicked Hitomi's shoulder "Are you avoiding me?" He raised an eyebrow jokingly.
"I would never!" Hitomi laughed.
They stayed in silence for a couple of minutes before Hitomi broke it.
"I mean... We hang out lots! The only thing that's changed is that we don't do sleepovers anymore."
"Really? That made such a difference?"
"Yeah, I'm also surprised."
There was another moment of silence before Hitomi moved and laid down next to Ryuu.
"Hey, " Ryuu poked her cheek "Sleepover at mine?" he smiled
"The usual?" She asked
"Yea... No. This time let's eat ice cream."
"You? Not wanting spicy noodles? Who are you and what did you do to my brother?"
"Ryuu is dead, this is Uuyr."
"How did you even pronounce that?"
"Heh"
They continued in silence, not an awkward silence, it was rather comfortable. Ryuu turned his gaze on the small table next to his bed and saw his bag. He took it and took out a book.
"Is that what I think it is?" Hitomi's eyes sparkled with excitement
"Yeah. Our yearbook."
"Why is it here? Why are you carrying it around?"
"Well, sometimes you need a laugh" he smiled, opening the yearbook on the 23rd page where the small picture of Hitomi smiling awkwardly was.
"Wahh!"
The sports festival ended and Emi went into the nurse's office to pick up the kids.
