Tiny footsteps, something out of breath, and a big crash.
A seafoam green blur rushed through the office. Hitomi was feeling rather happy. The hero she told about her quirk asked her if she wanted to come with him on patrol to test it out, so she forgot to tell her mother about her newly discovered quirk.
On the other hand, she didn't even know where her mother was, or what her quirk does, so telling her would ruin the fun of finding out on her own
She still hadn't used it on someone. The only thing she knew about it was that her eyes shine a blue light.
"Ready to go?" The hero asked the little girl who just nodded her head with a big grin plastered on her face.
This wasn't going to be her first time going with someone on patrol, but it will be the first time she actually fought the villains.
She hurried to the pro hero and got ready for the patrol.
Time skip
Some time went by, but they didn't encounter a villain. Hitomi's smile turned into a frown. She really wanted to find out what her quirk did.
She quietly sighed, but her sadness was quickly washed away and turned to fear when a knife passed her head.
She looked at the pro hero who was ready for action, so she straightened her back and put on a serious face, not minding the tears that were threatening to fall.
In front of them stood a monster. Sharp teeth, black skin, a well built body, a tongue long enough to touch his hands. Hitomi didn't see this guy as a villain, but a monster
"What's a child doing here?" The villain chuckled. "It would be fun kill-" he stopped talking and chuckled again
"What the-" he couldn't continue when he started laughing uncontrollably
Hitomi got scared and her eyes got teary. She hid behind the pro hero's leg.
The hero turned around and saw Hitomi with eyes that shined a blue light
"I-Is this your quirk?" He asked the little girl who just cried 'I don't know'
He looked over to the monster, he was returning to human form, barely breathing, but still laughing. He soon after lost consciousness.
"It's okay now, deactivate your quirk "
"I-I can't!" Hitomi yelled between sobs "I didn't activate it! It just got activated on its own" she started crying uncontrollably
"M-My eyes are burning!" She sobbed as she rubbed her eyes with her palms
"Close them if they hurt, try squinting " the hero tried helping
Hitomi closed her eyes and waited for a moment, her eyes stopped glowing, but she still felt pain in them.
"I want mommy!" She said, rubbing her eyes again
"Yeahh, I'm dead..."
