"There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior, a nameless, terrible thing soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it or hold it or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world," The Doctor explained.
"How did it get down here?" Amy asked.
"You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it"
"I hate good wizards in fairy tales. They always turn out to be him," a different voice said.
"Hello, Doctor. It took you long enough to arrive"
I was standing directly outside the Pandorica box, which was directly under Stonehenge, leaning against it on the opposite side they were standing on. The Doctor rushed around the box, his eyes wide when he finally saw me.
"Revenant!"
"Rayna?" The different voice asked.
I looked over and saw the curly haired River Song. I met her multiple times in my past in different points at time, we got along fairly well.
"Good to see you again, River," I pushed away from the Pandorica box and stood in front of the Doctor. "What brought you here?"
"You must've known what brought me here if you knew I was going to be here"
"The painting of the Tardis exploding by Van Gogh? Yes, I've seen it, but I've also noticed the Cybermen remains that seem to be littered around. I thought maybe you had already been here and left"
He started looking around the box with his sonic screwdriver. Amy held one of the torches, asking, "so can you open it?"
"Anyone can break into a prison. But I'd rather know what I'm going to find first"
"You won't have long to wait. It's already opening," River said. "There are layers and layers of security protocols in there, and they're being disabled one by one. Like it's been unlocked from the inside"
"How long do we have?"
"Hours at most"
"What kind of security?"
"Everything. Deadlocks, timestops, matter lines. What could need all that? What could get past all that?"
"Think of the fear that went into making this box. What could inspire that level of fear? Hello, you. Have we met?" The Doctor said to the box.
"So why would it start to open now?"
"No idea"
Amy cleared her throat. "And how could Vincent have known about it? He won't even be born for centuries"
"The stones," he said, stepping away from the box. "These stones are great big transmitters, broadcasting a warning to everyone, everywhere, to every time zone. The Pandorica is opening"
"Doctor, everyone, everywhere?"
The Doctor started to pace around the room. "Even poor old Vincent heard it in his dreams. But what's in there? What could justify all this? Anything that powerful, I'd know about it. Why don't I know?"
"Doctor, you said everyone could hear it. So who else is coming?" River asked.
"Oh"
"Oh? Oh what?" Amy asked.
"Okay, if it is basically a transmitter we should be able to fold back the signal," River said. "Stonehenge is transmitting. It's been transmitting for a while, so who heard?"
