Nightmare in Silver

We landed on the moon and the four of them stuck their heads out of the Tardis. The Doctor had promised Clara and her two wards, Angie and Artie, the biggest amusement park, Hedgewick's World Of Wonders.

"And we've got a golden ticket!" The Doctor said. "Fun!"

"Fun?" Angie asks. "Your stupid box can't even get us to the right place. This is like a Moon base or something"

"Well, it's not the Moon"

"Actually, I think it does look like the Moon, only dirtier," Artie says.

"Eh, guys? It's not the Moon, Okay? It's the Spacey Zoomer ride, or it was"

Someone opened a door that had been disguised as a rock, stepping out of it. "Excuse I, don't suppose you happen to be lift off planet, Dave's Discount Interstellar Removals?"

"Fraid not," Clara says.

"They were meant to be here six months ago. Well, that's Dave for you. Unreliable"

"Stay where you are!" A woman ordered.

"Whoops," the man says, going back in and closing the door.

"Throw down your weapons and identify yourselves," she said, more guards coming out.

"No, no weapons. Golden ticket," the Doctor says, pulling out a ticket and jumping up and down excitedly. "Spacey Zoomer? Free ice cream?"

"Who are you? This planet is closed by imperial order"

The Doctor then pulled out his psychic paper. "How's this?"

"Oh. Welcome, Proconsul. Wish they'd told us you were coming. Any news of the Emperor?"

"Oh, the Emperor? No, none that you would, er..."

"We pray for his return. If there is anything you need, my platoon is at your service"

"Right! Righty-ho!" He saluted her. "Well, carry on, Captain"

They marched off and the man from before stepped out of the rock. "Uniforms, they give me the heebie-jeebies. They can't stop me being here, but they don't like it," he led us over to the park entrance where we saw a run down and broken amusement park. "It closed down. Come on, let me show you my collection. Webley's World Of Wonders!"

We were inside now, looking around at different things you might find in some museum. Realistic figures that looked like they could come to life and kill you.

"Miracles, marvels, and more await you. I am Impresario Webley. You see before you waxwork representations of the famous... and the infamous! Anybody here play chess?" The Doctor raises his hand but Webley didn't see him, looking at Artie. "Perhaps you, young man?"

"Actually, I'm in my school chess club," Artie told him.

"Follow me," we went to a separate room where something that looked like a body was covered by a cloth, sitting at a chess board. "Let me present to you the wonder of the age, the miracle of modernity! We defeated them all a thousand years ago, but now, he's back to destroy you. Behold... the enemy!"

He removed the cloth and revealed a Cyberman. I pushed the kids behind me and the Doctor stepped forward with his screwdriver.

"No need to panic my young friends. We all know there are no more living Cybermen. What you are seeing is a miracle, the 699th wonder of the universe, as displayed before the Imperial court and only here to destroy you at chess"

"How can you be so sure?" I ask. "Cybermen upgrade quite a lot, maybe it's upgraded to make you believe it's harmless and out of order but it's actually still alive"
