"The thing about Daleks is they take so long to say anything. Probably die of boredom before they shoot me," he reassured us, leaving the room.

"Revenant, any ideas?" Clara asks me, the both of us still looking at the door where the Doctor had left from.

"Who else could do something impossible - like changing the future - than the impossible girl?"

She smiles and pulls me over to the crack in the wall. She started talking to it. "You've been asking a question. And it's time someone told you, you've been getting it wrong. His name... his name is the Doctor. All the name he needs. Everything you need to know about him. And if you love him... and you should... help him. Help him"

We ran outside after the crack suddenly just closed. The Doctor was on the roof, talking with the Dalek ship.

"Sorry I'm a bit slow. May not be at my best right now," The Doctor said.

"You are dying, Doctor," a Dalek said from their ship.

"Yes. I'm dying. You've been trying to kill me for centuries, and here I am, dying of old age. If you want something done, do it yourself"

"You will die, and the Time Lords will never return!"

"You still can't work up the courage to shoot me, can you? You're still worried I've got something up my sleeve! Well, knock yourself out, boys," he scoffs. "Got nothing this time"

"You will die, Doctor!" It said as they started attacking the town. "The rules of regeneration are known. You have expended all your lives"

The crack from the wall opened up in the sky and some light flowed out of it, straight towards the Doctor.

"Sorry?" The Doctor shouted, looking a lot more energetic. "What did you say? Did you mention the rules? Now, listen. Bit of advice. Tell me the truth if you think you know it, lay down the law if you're feeling brave, but, Daleks, never, ever... tell me the rules!"

"Emergency, emergency! The Doctor is regenerating! The Doctor is regenerating!"

"Oh, yes! Regeneration number thirteen! We're breaking some serious science, here, boys! I'll tell you one thing, it's going to be a whopper!"

"Exterminate the Doctor!"

"You think you can stop me now, Daleks? If you want my life, ha ha... come and get it!!"

Light burst from his body and he used his regeneration energy to destroy the Dalek's ship and all the Daleks.

"Everyone get inside!" I order.

Clara helped lead everyone inside the tower, and I was about to go as well, but I got surrounded. Mostly by Daleks, but one of them was disguised as a Silence.

"You're going to kill me? Good luck with that, I've still got a couple regenerations left. I'm only on my tenth"

"Not kill," it hissed. "Forget"

It put a three fingered hand on my forehead and I felt a shock run through my head. I fell backwards, nearly hitting one of the Daleks. All the Daleks looked down at me, then moved away.

I saw someone running to me from the distance. He held a cane in his hand but it didn't look like he needed it. Maybe he used to, but not anymore.

"Revenant!" The man shouted, rushing over to me in his converse sneakers. "Please, please, please, please," he muttered repeatedly.

I looked up at his face, not recognizing it. His brown hair flopped in his face as he ran. He had a large nose, chin and ears, green eyes. The eyes, they were so old, they had seen so much, and his young face showed all the terrors. It was almost as if he had been the lone survivor of a war, living forever because he was cursed. Cursed with immortality for what he had done.

"W-who are you?" I ask, staring into his sad looking eyes filled with tears.

"The Doctor?" He answers unsurely, sounding like he didn't know if I was serious or not.

The voice he spoke with sounded different than the first one I had heard, but it clearly belonged to the same man. The first voice sounded lower, more serious. The second was just as serious, yet it had a hint of worry and regret, higher pitched.

He knelt down in front of me, only to help me up into my feet. He kept hold of my hands, even when I looked at him oddly. I noticed his breathing stopped when I asked my next question.

"Doctor who?"

I felt a little scared, I didn't know what was going to happen, but mostly I felt safe, for some reason I didn't know. I glanced down, noticing his shoes.

"Weird. I thought I had seen you in converse when you were running over here, I must be seeing things," He hugged me, but I pulled away from him and noticed the look on his face he was trying to hide. "Never trust a hug. It's just a way to hide your face. You don't need to hide your face"

His eyebrows raised and he looked at me with a distant expression, the tears finally falling down his cheeks. I blinked, not knowing what to do.

"Are you all right? Will you tell me your name? Doctor who?"

"I'm the Doctor," he said, trying his best to smile, but it looked broken. "I'm here to help"
