Chapter 6: Infiltrating Lumiose Gym!

Cayla walked silently as they entered Lumiose City again. Ash was explaining to Serena how he couldn't battle the Lumiose Gym, to which Clemont and Bonnie started trying to push them away.

"Ow! Stop pushing please!" Cay squeaked, feeling a rough hand on her back.

"Why if it isn't my Clemont and Bonnie!" A deep voice drew everyone's attention. A sturdy man was sitting on a motor scooter with a Ampharos sitting behind him.

"Dad!" The blonde siblings gasped.

The man walked up behind Clemont and Bonnie, Ampharos just behind him.

"Uh let me introduce you," Clemont started, motioning to the man.

"This is our Daddy!" Bonnie said, lacking her usual enthusiasm.

"I'm Meyer, I run a electronics shop with Ampharos here." The man, Meyer, grinned and patted the Electric Type on the back.

"Ryu!" Ampharos cooed, waving.

Bonnie stepped out and motioned to Cayla, Ash, and Serena. "And these are or brand new friends!"

Meyer gasped in shock, staring at them in surprise and possibly betrayal. He looked down, clutching his chest. Cayla was about to ask if be was okay but: "I'm so overcome with happiness I can't tell you!" He sobbed, pulling his children into a hug.

Cayla smiled. Meyer kind of reminded her of her own father, though hers was a little more extreme.

"Hi, My name's Ash, and this is my partner Pikachu." Ash greeted first.

"Pika!" Pikachu waved.

Meyer leaned over and smiled at Pikachu. "Woah Pikachu, nice looking electric cheeks." He smiled, rubbing Pikachu's chin, before turning to Serena, and Cayla. "Oh, who're these young ladies?"

"I'm Serena." Serena smiled with a waved.

"My name's Cayla. How do you do?" Cayla answered next, smiling politely.

"Oh~" The man smiled, looking between the girls. "One you must he Clemont's girlfriend! Can't take an eye off you huh?" Meyre grinned, elbowing his son suggestively.

Cayla and Serena shared a giggle, but when Serena realized they were laughing together, she stopped. That was something Cayla didn't understand. Serena would often times glare at her, or completely ignore her when they others weren't paying attention. It confused the silver eyed girl to no end.

Cayla wasn't one to want everyone to like her, she knew that was impossible, but she was afraid she had hurt Serena in some way. 'I'll apologize when the opportunity presents itself.' She nodded, feeling Ro's Poke-Ball heat up to offer her encouragement.

Cayla snapped out her thought when Serena and Ash started glaring at the two blondes. Softly, she pulled them back. "Thats enough you two, I'm sure they'll be happy to explain, nut getting mad won't help anyone." She soothed. "Lets head to the park and then we can all sit and talk things through."

"Yeah alright." Ash sighed.

"Okay." Serena nodded.

"Thanks for helping up Cayla." Bonnie whispered gratefully.

"Anytime." She smiled back, leading the way to a small park with a water fountain.

Clemont sighed and sat down on the side of the fountain. "The thing is, I really am the Gym Leader at the Lumiose Gym." He started, accepting the bottle of water Cayla handed him.

"Why didn't you just tell us?" Ash asked, seemingly upset. Frowning, Cayla caught a flash of hut flash in his eyes.

"I really was planing on telling you eventually," The blonde male frowned, looking at his hands. "It's just, it's a long story. I was always so busy being a Gym Leader, I never had time to event things like I wanted to. So I decided to construct a Gym Leader Robot who could help me fulfill my Gym Leader responsibilities, and give me more time. But something happened and I got kicked out."

"Don't worry Clemont, we'll help you get your gym back!" Cayla said softly.

"Thats right! Lets go get your gym back!" Ash declared.

"Ro," Cayla hummed, tossing up a Poke-Ball. The Pokemon popped out and walked beside her as they headed to the Gym. "Help me think of a way to get into the Gym, we need four Gym Badges to get in."

"Kirli!" 'On it.' He hummed.

When they reached the Gym three trainers were there. Cayla was too absorbed in thought to really pay attention. She stared up at the Town, tapping her lip in thought.

"Maybe you won't win but I least you won't have given up!" Ash said roughly, breaking Cay out of her thoughts. "I don't know anything about Robots, but maybe you'll grow to understand each other in battle."

Cayla smiled as they talked and turned to Ro. "Any Ideas?" She asked.

"Kirli lia Kir Kirlia." 'Zero could have used his illusion to make it look like we had four badges, but he isn't here.' Ro said, looking up at the tower.

"You're right on that one." Cayla sighed, and closed her eyes. They snapped open and she giggled. "Guys, I know how we can get in!" She smiled before heading towards the back. "Anyone remember what a certain Garchomp did?"

"You're a genius!" Clemont nodded, running after her.

Ro held the sheets open for everyone to run in. Once everyone was in, Clemont took the lead. They maneuvered their ways through the venting and came out to a hall way, Cayla catching Bonnie when they girl almost fell. They darted through the halls, Frokie had to defeat Clemont's Magnemite, and Magneton with the help of Serena's Fennekin. Finally they made it to the battle field.

"Somehow, we made it." Clemont sighed heavily, walking through the field.

"It's dark." Cayla mentioned shyly.

"Welcome to the Lumiose Gym." A robotic voice said, followed by the lights coming on.
