Chapter 17: The Bonds of Mega Evolution!

(Episode 33 of Pokemon XY.)

Finally reaching Pumice Mountain, Cayla was in awe of the house. It was large, and earthy, with most of the house built in and around a large tree. She was whisked from her thoughts when Korrina knocked on the door and announced their arrival. Slowly, the wooden door creaked open, and out stepped a Mawile. On it's horn was a small band and a Mega Stone.

*Mawile, the Deceiver Pokémon. Attached to its head is a huge set of jaws formed by horns. It can chew through iron beams.*

Ash's Poke-Dex informed. "Cool!" He muttered.

Mawile turned from the door, making it's way to a little old lady as she rode up. The lady stepped out of her cart, petting her Pokemon on the head. "Thank you so much for watching the house for me Mawile." She said. The group slowly approached, catching her attention. "Oh my stars. Well, how do you do? I'm Mable." She introduced.

"I'm Korrina."

"Nice to meet you Ma'am, I'm Cayla."

"Hi, my name's Ash." "Pikachu!"

"I'm Serena, nice to meet you."

"My name's Bonnie, and this is Dedenne!" "Denne!"

"My name's Clemont, Pleased to meet you." Clemont finished out.

"I was told you were coming." Mable said softly before turning to Korrina. "First, lets demonstrate how strong you are."

"Huh?" Korrina and Lucario said in surprise, before they smiled in determination. "Sure!"

Cayla hummed, tossing up Ro's ball. He popped out, taking his place beside his trainer. Cayla bent down and met his gaze. "Lets cheer for Korrina and Lucario yeah?"

"Kirlia." 'Alright.' Ro responded, hiding a smirk of amusement.

The battle started off with Lucario Mega Evolving immediately. Booms of power radiated off of Lucario, ruffling hair, and skirts as it spread. After, Mawile Mega Evolved. Mawile became bigger, it's glove patterns becoming red, other than their hands, and the bottom on it's legs becoming red up to their torso. It's horns separated into two, resembling twin tails that a girl would tie in their hair.

Once Mega Evolution stopped, Korrina started off with a Power Up Punch. Lucario darted forward, slamming it's fist towards Mawile. Mawile jumped out of the way with ease, landing steps away from Lucario. Without Korrina's go ahead, Lucario summoned Bone Rush, manifesting a bone shaped staff. Lucario sprinted forward, slashing at Mawile repeatedly, though each attack was dodged with ease. Korrina was cheering Lucario on, being reined back in when she caught Cayla's eye. Mawile, on order, then attacked with Iron Head, it's head lighting up as it rammed into Lucario, and sending Lucario flying. Lucario landed before Korrina, growling slightly as it's aura tried to take control. Enraged, Lucario's fist lit up in Power Up Punch, darting forward to Mawile as Korrina called for it. As Lucario went in for the hit, Mable called out for Fairy Wind. Mawile spun quickly, bright and sparkling winds emanating from it, and encasing Lucario, before throwing it. Lucario landed hard on the ground before passing out, and shifting back.

Korrina ran to Lucario, scooping them in her arms while Mable called off Mawile's Mega Evolution. "I know you're going to be just fine." Korrina soothed. "You're going to be able to control your power in no time, remember, that is what we came here for."

"Here." Cayla crouched down a bit, offering a sitrus berry to he friend. Korrina smiled back, helping Lucario sit up before giving it to them.

"We promise we'll do our best," Korrina looked up at the old woman. "Please, help us Mable."
