Bonnie and Cayla sat in the grass with Serena and the Pokemon. Serena was brushing Fennikin's tail while Bonnie borrowed Cayla's brush and brushed Chespin, and Cayla brushed a dozing Dawn. "Hey everyone!" A familiar voice echoed, causing the group to look up. Shauna was running down the street, Bulbasausr keeping pace even with it's little legs.

"Shauna!" Serena stood with a shrill voice, walking up to the other girl, followed by the others. "What were you wanting to show us?" She asked.

"Get this: Aria is doing a exhibition performance at today's Showcase!" Shauna beamed.

"Showcase? Thats awesome! Cayla you should perform. It can be your debut!" Ash glance at the dark haired girl.

Cayla have a weary smile. "I tried to sign up, but there wasn't any open spots left." She admitted sheepishly.

"Thats to bad!" Serena said in mock sympathy that sounded genuine to the others, but caused Cayla to flinch. "We can still see it though. Lead the way Shauna."

Taking a steady breath, Cayla picked up Dawn, hiding her face in her pure white neck fur before following after the other. "Ro, lets watch the show together!" She beamed finally, tossing up her Poke-Ball, and watching her partner pop out before following the others.

Everyone sat in their seats, Cayla pulling Ro to her lap, and Dawn Perching up on her head, luckily no one was behind them. "Watch closely." She whispered to her Pokemon as the show started.

The lights dimmed. "Be Fantastic!" A voice called before a wisp of beautiful orange flames rushed through the stage. It circled in the center before a light showed down on a Braxien. In Braxien's paw way a stick, ignited on in the front. Braxien started moving around stage, twirling the flaming stick around in a bight display. "Use Fire Spin!" The off stage voice ordered. Braxien spun and shot Fire Spin, where the flames danced in a crisscross fashion. From the center rose Aria. Braxien the it's stick to Aria, who jumped with ease and caught the stick with ease. The duo went back and fourth, tossing the flaming stick with ease, and they were both smiling brightly as they performed. On the last throw Braxien caught the stick on it's head, before nudging it into it's tail. Braxien then raised it's head, shooting out a Fire Blast that cause balls of light to shimmer down.

The crowd started to clap but Cayla couldn't help the feeling of disappointment. Shauna apparently caught on by the look on her face. "Whats wrong Cayla? Didn't you enjoy the performance?"

"I just expected more." Cayla said simply. "While Braxien allowing it's trainer to hold it's precious stick shows their bond, I think they wasted movements. And swinging a flame around like that is dangerous, because fire is hard to control, and that ending Fire Blast was also dangerous, shooting it up so close to the lighting. And their smiles, while happy, seemed a bit forced."

"What would you know?" A voice from below spat, meaning someone had been listening in. "You're not Kalos Queen!"

"You're right, I'm not, not yet at least." Cayla stated firmly. "But she is, so I expected more from her is all. I'm allowed to have an opinion, aren't I?" She asked, and the person turned back around.

"Are you mad?" Bonnie asked in surprise.

"Fire Pokemon are a bit harder to train, I would know, so it frustrates me when People don't understand that, and use a Fire Type's power recklessly." Cayla claimed, before smiling. "But no, I'm not mad." She turned back to the showcase as the next person came out with a Furfrou.

The Furfrou started off with jumping through a hoop, showing of the slimmer fur shave it was given. After both Trainer and Pokemon jumped in sync, using the hoop like a jump rope before tossing the hoop in the air. "Double Team!" The trainer smiled. Furfrou turned into three, jumping through the hoop one at a time before landing and spinning in time with their trainer as she spun in the hula hoop.

Out of nowhere, a Pancham appeared on stage, spinning in time with the Performer. It then jumped onto the light fixtures, breaking one before falling onto the stage. Two people, most likely security, ran after Pancham, who pushed a cart at them and made a break for it.

Due to the commotion the Showcase ended early. "Too bad, I really liked the Furfrou act." Cayla sighed before turning to the others. "I'm going to go ask about the next Showcase."

"Alright, we're going to go to the Pokemon Center to wait." Ash nodded.

Cayla nodded and waved before walking off with her Pokemon back into the stadium. "Excuse me," She spoke, grabbing the receptionist's attention. "I was hoping you could tell me when the next Showcase is going to be."

"That would be Coumarine City dear." She said, handing over an information sheet.

"Thank you." She smiled, walking away while looking at the paper.

Cayla sighed, cracking a smile as Ro and Dawn tried to cheer her up by dancing around. She was just confused. The group hadn't been there when he arrived and she'd been waiting for a while. There was a twinge of hope that they just got lost.

"Cayla!" Bonnie squealed, causing her to look up. Cayla smiled, letting out a sigh of releif. "Guess what!"

"What?" Cayla asked, amused.

"Serena caught Pancham!" Bonnie bounced. "Thats why we took so long."

"Congratulations Serena." Cayla smiled at the lighter haired girl. "Its kind of late now though to head off." She sighed.

"Thats Okay," Clemont broke in. "We'll just leave in the morning."

"So did you get the location of the next contest?" Serena asked, in almost niceness.

"Yep! Coumarine City." Cayla informed. "That's also where your next Gym battle is."

"Good, because that where I'm getting my first Princess Key!" Serena smirked, meeting Cayla's eyes.

"I look forward to the competition." Cayla answered simply.
