(Episode 27 of Pokemon XY)

Ash and friends stood by an electronic message board. On the board was the picture of a man, and another of a woman, with information about a battle written out. "Says that Diantha's doing an expedition battle."Cayla read aloud.

"Wow Diantha, really?!" Serena gasped.

"Thats awesome! Who is she?" Ash gasped in awe before stating his question bluntly.

"Ash, she's a movie star, not to mention a champion." Cayla sighed out, a weary smile on her face. "See?" She pointed to a movie poster just behind them.

"She's really well known." Clemont chimed.

"I really admire her!" Serena sighed dreamily.

"In that case, I want to challenger her!" Ash grinned, causing Bonnie to fire off her dreams of finding Clemont the perfect person to take care of him.

-------

Cayla was sat beside Professor Sycamore, who they happened to run into. They had also met Diantha, and learned more about Mega Evolution. Apparently Diantha's Gardevoir could mega evolve, so Sycamore attended the battle for a chance to see such an evolution. After meeting briefly, they had gone to the stands to watch.

Cayla tossed up her Poke-Ball, watching as Ro popped out of the sphere. "Ro, lets watch Diantha battle okay?" She said softly, smiling at the Pokemon beside her.

"Kirlia!" 'Alright!' He nodded, gazing out on the field.

The guy, Magnas, threw out his Absol, while Diantha threw out Gardevoir. Cayla and Ro's eyes widened at the same time. "Isn't...Isn't that the Gardevoir that saved us?"

"Kirli." 'Yes.' Ro nodded.

Magnas went first, instructing Absol to use bide. With his fangs glowing white, Absol ran towards Gardevoir. Without a word uttered between the two, Gardevoir vanished, appearing behind Absol. Absol then used Quick Attack, but Gardevoir dodged with ease, all without Diantha having to direct it. Gardevoir lead Absol all over the battle stage, dodging the brilliant flash. When they stopped Absol used Psycho Cut, his horn glowing a bright purple before a cut slashed towards Gardevoir. Now Diantha spoke, having Gardevoir use Shadow Ball to smash Psycho Cut, and still fly past and hit Absol. Absol shook off some of the damage before standing straight and using Perish Song. Snapping her fingers, Diantha directed Gardevoir to use Moonblast. Gardevoir pulled together a bright pink ball of energy from the moon, firing it at Absol and ending that battle.

"So Cayla, do you think, you and Ro have a strong enough bond to do that?" Professor Sycamore asked with a knowing smile.

Cayla looked at Ro, smiling at him as he stared back with his own smile. "I think we have a long way to go before we are perfectly in sync, but Ro and I, we won't ever give up. Right?"

"Kirlia. Kir Kirlia." 'Yes. And frankly I'm insulted.' Ro nodded his head, holding onto her arm.

Cayla laughed. "I want to thank Diantha before we go." She said, quickly running down the stairs towards the room they met her in before. Ro followed without a second thought, meeting her pace.

They slid to a halt, seeing a huge group outside Diantha's door. Chickening out, she hid behind the wall listening as security told the reporters that she was gone. "I guess being a movie star leaves you with little time." She murmured.

"Kirli." 'Yeah.' Ro nodded.

"Cayla!" Ash called at her, leading the rest of the group over. "You ran off."

"You said you had to thank her?" Professor Sycamore prompted.

"Remember when we first came here? And how I fell after Ash?" She asked. "Well, we were saved by a Mega Gardevoir. We just know that Gardevoir was the one that saved us." Ro nodded along with her. "I wanted to thank her." She sighed.

"I'm sure you'll be able to thank her another time." The Professor chuckled.

"How about we all go get something to eat?" Serena chimed in, pulling out her electronic devise. "We can go here, says they make the best chocolate cake!"

Cayla smiled and nodded. "Sounds good."

"Okay, would you like to go Professor?" Clemont asked.

"Sure, I just have to send off this data first." The older man nodded.

Cayla smiled again, before turning to Ro. "Lets work hard! Next time we see her, we can thank her properly!"

"Kirlia!" 'Right!' Ro nodded proudly.

------

Cayla chuckled as the others were fighting over cake. The cafe they went to hold out, so they had to split it. Cayla herself wasn't really into chocolate, so she passed. Her silver eyes roamed over to a woman who was talking to the owner. She was dressed in black, with dark sunglasses over her eyes. The woman frowned a frown that Cayla could only describe as devistation.

"Isn't that...Diantha?" She asked, recognizing the woman's voice. Quietly, she walked over and tapped her shoulder to get her attention. "Excuse me," She said, grabbing her attention. "It's only a bite, but my friend's are cutting up our piece if you would like some."

"Really?!" She asked in surprise. By then the rest others had caught up to the conversation, and agreed with ease.

"We really don't mind." Ash agreed.

The woman walked closer, Cayla matching her step. She paused, meeting all of their eyes. "Wait, haven't I seen you before?" She smiled, and pulled away her sunglasses. "It's me!"

"I was right." Cayla sighed gratefully.

"It's Diantha!" The other gasped, voices low.

Once everyone calmed down, Clemont divided the pieces of cake. Cayla order a Piece of Oran Berry jelly for herself, calling out Ro so she could share with him, seeing as it wasn't too sweet.

"Oh right!" The Murkrow haired girl remembered. "Diantha, when we first came to Kalos, Ro and I had a nasty fall off Prism tower." She said, gaining the woman's attention. "A Mega Gardevoir saved us, and we believe it was your Gardevoir. Thank you, and your Gardevoir for saving us that day."

"Kirlia." 'Thank you.' Ro followed soon after.

Diantha smiled at them. "You're welcome." She chuckled. "I noticed that you had a Key stone earlier, do you plan to evolve and them Mega Evolve your Kirlia?"

"Yes, Ro here wants to evolve into a Gallade, and then one day we want to Mega Evolve." Cayla nodded, holding out a spoon of the blue jelly for the Pokemon.

"Well, with the bond you're showing now, I doubt Mega Evolution will be hard for you two." She praised, causing Cayla's cheeks to heat up.

"Diantha, will you please have a Pokemon battle with me?" Ash changed the subject, for that Cayla was grateful.

"Ash, being the champion and a movie star probably doesn't leave her with a lot of time." Serena scolded. "You really shouldn't bother her.

Ash sighed, gazing at Diantha seriously. "I know, but I want to be a Pokemon Master, and having a battle with you would mean a lot, because you're the champion."

Diantha stared down at Ash for a few minutes. "Alright, but only because you all shared your chocolate cake with me." She winked playfully.

"Alright!" Ash cheered, fallowed by Pikachu's calls of awe.
