>>>Natalie's POV>>>>>>>>>>>>
"What's going on?" asked Suzy as she wiped her eyes.
I didn't know how to answer her because I didn't even know what was going on. Dean and I looked at each other before jumping back into our seats.
Dean cleared his throat. "Nothing. Are you okay, Suzy?"
Suzy's eyebrows furrowed. "Yeah but... who are you?"
My jaw hit the floor. Suzy has amnesia. The girl can't remember anything.
"Suzy, it's me, Dean. I'm your boyfriend."
Suzy scratched her head and then turned her head to me. "But you were about to kiss her."
Busted.
"No, I wasn't." Ouch.
"Yeah huh. Your lips were like two inches away from each other."
"Doesn't mean we were going to kiss." Yeah, huh.
"Then why is your cheeks all red?"
I looked at Dean's cheeks and giggled. I was proud to say that I made Dean O'Brien's cheeks red.
Dean frowned. "Suzy, I wasn't going to kiss Natalie. She's not my type."
That really hurt. Tears filled my eyes but before they could escape, I ran out of the room.
"Natalie!" Dean called out. I kept running until I reached the elevator. Once it opened, I stepped in and sobbed.
"Are you okay?" asked a stranger. I wiped my wet face and looked at them.
Oh great. I'm crying in front of this cute short guy with an adorable smile.
"Yeah, I'm fine", I said in a shaky voice. I knew he was probably caring by the way he was watching me.
"You can talk to me", he said taking a step closer to me.
I didn't know if I should run or not because this guy could be a short rapist. Ground level needs to show up like, now. But, we're on the fourteenth. Great.
"I don't even know your name."
He stuck out his hand. "Jeremy."
I gladly accepted his hand and shook it. "Natalie."
He stuck his hand in his pocket and leaned on the bar on the elevator. "So why are you upset?"
"Because this guy said I wasn't his type and... I already hate who I am so it really hurt that he said that."
Jeremy ran his fingers through his hair. "He's an idiot, then. If he doesn't see how lovely you are, screw him. In a world like today, you have to make yourself valuable, like your the shit. Love your skin. Love being you."
I was stunned but that was exactly what I needed to hear. "Thanks, Jeremy. I really needed that."
He looked at the floor. "It was nothing."
I took my phone out my pocket. "Let's exchange numbers."
We did just that and chatted a bit until my taxi came. I had about a hundred texts and forty missed calls from Dean. What Dean doesn't know is that I have a little surprise for him.
Revenge is waiting just around the corner for Mr. O'Brien.
