Chapter 108 - What Happened?

Harry's POV
~Memory~
"I'd like to know where you get information. More knowledge than half the staff, you are." We heard Slughorn said.

"Sir...is it true that Professor Merry is retiring?" Asked Tom.

Slughorn looked at him.

"Now, Tom. I couldn't tell you I'd knew, could I? By the way. Thank you for the pineapple. You're quiet right, it is my favorite....But how did you know?"

Tom smirked. "Intuition."
Slughorn gave him a weak smile. Then the clock chimed.

"Gracious. Is it that time already? Off you go, boys, or Professor Dippet will have us all in detention." Said Slughorn.

All the boys left...except for one.

Tom was admiring Slughorn's hourglass.

"Look sharp, Tom. Don't want to be caught out of bed after hours." Said Slughorn. Tom just stood there, with a blank expression.

"Is something in your mind, Tom?" Asked Slughorn.
"Yes, sir. You see, I couldn't think of anyone else to go to. The other professors, well, they're not like you. They might misunderstand." Tom replied.

"Go on." Said Slughorn.

"I was in the library the other night...in the Restricted Section...and I found something rather odd about a bit of rare magic. And I thought perhaps you could illuminate me. As if I could call it. A *mumbling*"

Slughorn was confused.

"I beg your pardon? I don't know anything about such things, and if I did, I wouldn't tell you! Now, get out of here at once, and don't let me catch you mentioning it again!" Slughorn snapped at him.

I was back in Dumbledore's office.
"Confused?"

I looked at Dumbledore.

"I'd be surprised if you weren't" he said.

"Well, I don't understand. What happened?" I asked.
"This is perhaps the most important memory I've collected. It is also a lie. This memory has been tampered with by the same person whose memory it is, our old friend, Professor Slughorn." Dumbledore replied.

"But why would he tamper with his own memory?" I asked again.
"He's ashamed of it." he replied.
"Why?" I asked again.

"Why, indeed? I asked you to get to know Professor Slughorn, and you have done so. Now I want you to persuade him to divulge his true memory, any way you can." Dumbledore replied.
"I don't know him that well, sir. I barely talk to him." I said.

Dumbledore dumped his hand into the pensive.
"This memory is everything. Without it, we are blind. Without it, we leave the fate if our world of chance. You have no choice. And you should not fail."

3rd Person's POV
Erika, Belle, and Hermione were keeping Ginny company. Because....well....her and Dean broke up.
Ginny cried as she rested her head onto Belle's shoulder.

"Don't cry, Ginny. You can find any other boy." Erika said.
Ginny wiped her tears and sniffed.

"Sorry, I couldn't help it." she said.

"Let's play Truth or Dare." Hermione suggested.
Belle gave her a 'really' look, while Erika's eyes brighten up.

"Okay! I'm first!" Erika chimed, making Ginny giggle.

"Hermione, truth or dare?" Erika said.
Hermine thought for a while.

"Truth." she replied.

"Is it true that you're in love with....Ronald Weasley?" Erika asked.

Hermione was stiff like a stick. Like she's not even moving.
"Y-Yes." she mumbled.

That made Ginny smirked.

"Okay, Ginny, truth or dare?" Hermione asked.
"I guess truth." Ginny replied.

"Do you have any feelings for Lukas?" Hermione asked.

Ginny blushed and nodded, slightly.
Erika and Hermione squealed.

Belle covered her ears and flinched.
"To tell you the truth, I dated Dean to forget about Lukas, because I never thought he will like me." Ginny added.

"I see. Now we know the reason why." Erika said.
"It's Belle's turn." Hermione said.

"Truth or Dare, Belle?" Ginny asked.
"Truth. I'm not in the mood for dare." Belle replied.

"Okay, who would you rather date? Kai or Draco?" Ginny asked.

Belle went stiff when she heard the name 'Draco'. At first, she rejected Draco's feelings towards her and now Draco rejects her feelings towards him. So they're even.

Belle snapped out of her thoughts and sighed.

"I rather date Kai Oppa." Belle responded.
"EH?!" Hermione and Erika exclaimed.

"Jinja?" Erika asked.
"Well, if Draco didn't exist into my life. I would date Kai Oppa, because he's perfect for any girl." Belle replied.
"How old is anyway?" Hermione asked.

"He's 18." Belle replied.
"And what about the other members?" Ginny asked.

"Suho, 23.
Xiumin, 25.
Kris, 23.
Lay, 22.
Luhan, 22.
Chanyeol, Chen and Baekhyun are 22 as well.
DO is 22 too.
Tao is 19.
Which leaves Sehun, he's 18 as well." Erika replied.

"Wow. Most of them are in their 20's while the others are mostly our age." Hermione said.
"Yeah, so Kai is my pick." Belle said, crossing her arms.
"What about Draco?" Hermione asked.

Belle sighed and was holding her eyes.
She suddenly stood up.

"I'm heading to bed." With that she went to her dorm.

"I think Kai would be good for her. But he only treats her as a sister." Erika said.
"I can see that. But I think they look good together. Even though Draco and Belle have something with each other." Ginny said.
"Something with each other? Since when?" Erika asked.

Ginny just shrugged. "I don't know. They made eye contact."
Erika sighed at that.

"Cheer up, Erika. Let her choose what guy she likes." Hermione said.

At the dorms, Belle was looking at her wand. It hasn't been twinkling at all.
Not since she confessed her feelings to him.

She laid down as she brought the covers to her shoulders, to make her feel warm.

I only like Kai as a brother. He understands that, but as for Draco...I got rejected from him. And I reject him. So we're even. I'm just going to.....forget about him. Belle thought.

Her eyes got heavy and she went to sleep.

~Slytherin Common Room~
Draco was in his room, trying to fix the crystal flower that Belle made for him. As he was on the last piece, he slowly put it together.
"Done." he said.

As he was about to pick it up...the crystal fell into pieces again.
"Damn it." he sneered.

He picked up the pieces as a tear fell. Draco didn't want to wipe it off.
"How am I going to fix this?" he asked himself.

The only way to fix the Crystal Flower...is Belle. But there's a secret way to fix it.
The connection between them ever since Draco laid eyes on her.

That is.....True Love. (Which Draco didn't know)
