Chapter 49 - Detention

Isabelle's POV
"Belle, you really have to say something in class. And now you're going into detention." Erika scolded me.
"Erika. I was only defending myself. Even Harry as well." I said.

Erika sighed and looked at Harry.
"You two made me worry so much, you know." she said.

"Sorry." Harry and I mumbled.
Suddenly, the clock chimed.

"Belle, let's go." Harry said.
I nodded and followed Harry.

"Belle." Erika stopped me.
I stopped, but I didn't look at her.

"I'll be fine, Unnie." I said. Then I left before Erika could say anything else.

~Umbridge's Office~
We went to Umbridge's Office. Harry knocked on the door, until We heard 'Come in.' We went in.

"Glad you've made it, Mr. Potter, Miss Lee. Sit." she said.
I walked in and Harry closed the door and we both sat down.

"You two will be writing lines for me." she said.
We were about to take out our quills until she stops us.
"No, not with your quill. You'll be using a rather special on of mine." she said. She gave us her 'special' quill.

Harry and I picked up.

"Now I want you three to write, "I must not tell lies." she said.
"How many times?" Harry asked, calmly.

"Let's see... As long as it takes for the message to sink in." She said and walked off.
"You haven't given us ink." I said.
"Oh, you wouldn't need any ink." She replied. We got confuse and started to write.

I started to feel pain on my other hand. I quietly moaned in pain. I looked at my other hand.

It's starts to write 'I must not tell lies' in blood.
I looked t the quill, then glanced at Harry.

I bet he's feeling the same pain.

But Umbridge walked up in front of us.
"Yes?" She asked us.
"Nothing." Harry replied.
"That's right, cause you know deep down. You deserve to be punished, don't you, Mr. Potter?" She said.
Harry didn't say anything.
"As for you, Miss Lee. I suspect you to keep your pretty mouth shut. Or I'll just slit your beautiful lips off." she said.
I glared at her while she gave me a innocent smile.

"You two may continue." she said.

Harry and I continued and obeyed her.

She just can't do this to students. I thought.

~After Detention~
Harry and I both got out of the office.

"Harry." I called him.
He stopped and looked at me.

"Do you think...we should tell Hermione?" I asked.

Harry hesitated. But then...
"No, I don't think so, Belle. I don't want them to know about it. Even Erika." he said.
I sighed at that.

"Come on, let's go back to the common room." he said.
"You go, I need some fresh air." I said.

Harry gave me his worried look.
"Don't worry about me, Harry. Just tell Erika that I'll be back soon." I said.

He nodded and left to the common room.
I sighed and somehow....I just suddenly walked up to the Astronomy Tower.

I glanced at the moon. And the moonlight is beautiful tonight.

But then someone tapped on my shoulder.
I gasped and turned around.

"Hey."

It was Draco Malfoy.

"I've been calling you all day. So I waited." he said.

I sighed and turned around to the view.

"But why haven't been answering your wand?" he asked.
When he said the word 'wand.' I flinched at that word.

"Belle, what's wrong?" he asked me again, as he held my hand.

I winced at that and pulled away.

"Don't touch me." I said, calmly.
His eyes soften at that.

He didn't say anything, but he slowly traced my arms and held my hands again. Then he removed my sleeves and saw the marks.
"What happened?" he asked, worriedly.

I didn't make eye contact. So I removed my hand away from him.
"It's nothing."

He was about to say something back, but I beat him to it.
"Anyway, why did you wait here for me?" I asked.
"I wanted to apologize. About the other day." he replied.

I sighed and crossed my arms.

"You were drunk. So..." I trailed off.
Draco looked at me to continue.

But I couldn't.

"Anyway; Why didn't you answer your wand?" he asked.
Again, I flinched at that.

"Belle?"

He'll never know.

"I can't tell you that." I replied.
"Why?" he asked.

"I just can't, okay."

I walked to the stairs, and took a deep breath.
"Good night."

With that, I walked away from him.
