Chapter 103 - Slughorn's Christmas Party

Erika's POV

*Her Outfit*

*Belle's Outfit*

Harry and I took pictures with Slughorn. It was awkward though.

"Drink?" We turned to Neville and he wore a waiter outfit.
"Neville." Harry greeted.
"I didn't get into the Slug Club. It's okay, though. He's got Belby handing out towels in the loo." Said Neville. "We're fine, Neville, thanks." I said.
"You look lovely, tonight, Erika." He said.
"Thanks." I said, smiling.

Neville smile and left. I looked around and spotted Hermione hiding behind the curtain.
"Harry, that's Hermione. Behind the curtain." I whispered to him. He nodded and dragged me over there.

"Hermione. What are you doing? And what happened to you?" Asked Harry.

"I've just escaped. I mean, left Cormac under the mistletoe." She said.
"Cormac? That's who you invited?" Asked Harry.
"Seriously?!" I said.

"I thought it would annoy Ron the most." She said.
"Hermione, you're joking right?" I asked.
"No I'm not. Look at Cormac. He's got more tentacles than a Snarfalump plant." Said Hermione.
Then a waiter came. "Dragon Tartare?"

"No, we're fine. Thank you." Said Hermione.
"Just as well. They give one horribly bad breath." Said the waiter.

"On second thought." Hermione grabbed the whole plate and starts eating.
The waiter left. "Might keep Cormac at bay." She said.

She took one bite and said, "Oh god, here he comes." Hermione handed us the plate and left us. We covered Hermione, so that she could escape.

"I think she just went to powder her nose." Said Harry.
"Slippery little mix, your friend. Nice to work her mouth too, doesn't she?" Said Cormac.
Then he noticed me.

"How are you doing, Erika?" he asked, smirking.
"Fine, thank you." I replied.
"You're one lucky man, Harry." Cormac said, smirking at me.
"Thanks, Cormac." Harry said.

Cormac ate some of the dragon tartare. I tried not to laugh.
"What is this I'm eating, by the way?" He asked us.

"Dragon Balls." I said.
Cormac looked at us, shocked. Suddenly, Snape came in and gave us a look, just then, Cormac vomits on his shoes.
Harry and I were looking at the curtain, just admiring it.

"You go on. I'll catch up." Harry whispered.
I nodded and walked out. That's when I saw Belle with Seamus.

"Belle." I called her.
She turned to me and smiled.

"Hey, where's your date?" she asked.
"Oh...hehehe, with...." I turned around and saw Harry with Snape.
"With Snape, huh." Belle said.

I nodded.
"Belle, I'll with my friends." Seamus said.

"Okay, go and have fun." Belle said.
Seamus smiled and left.

"So, you two are just friends huh." I said.
"Yeah, just friends. Seamus is a good friend." Belle said.

I smiled at Belle. She's a strong girl.

"Take your hands off me, you filthy Squib."

We all turned to the voice.

"Professor Slughorn, sir. I found him lurking in the corridor. And he claims he's invited to your party." Said Filtch.
"Okay, okay, I was gate crashing. Happy?" said Malfoy.
Malfoy suddenly looked at Belle for the moment.

Snape suddenly came up to Malfoy.
"I'll escort him out." Snape glared at him.

"Certainly, professor." Draco replied, glaring back.

"All right, everyone. Let's continue." said Slughorn.

And all of a sudden, Harry was gone.

What?

I turned to my right side...Belle was gone as well.

3rd Person's POV
"I did hex that Bell girl. Maybe I didn't. What's it to you?" Malfoy asked Snape.
He suddenly shoved him causing Draco to hit the wall.
"I swore to protect you. I made the Unbreakable Vow." Snape said.

"I don't need protection. This is my moment." Draco said.

"You're afraid, Draco. Let me assist you." said Snape.

"I don't want your help. Leave me be." I said.

On the other side, Harry leaned on the wall and heard the conversation.
This is all he can hear, then he went back to the party.

"What about Isabelle?" Snape asked.
Draco looked away.
"She'll find out very soon. She's smarter than you think, Draco." Snape said.

"This is what I can do to protect her! The Dark Lord will never lay a finger on her!" Draco snapped.
"What if he did? What would you do?" Snape asked.

Draco stood there quiet.
"You agreed to this fake marriage. To protect her." Snape added.
"Whatever it takes...I'll protect her. Even this fake marriage gets in between us, I can't get away from her." Draco said.

Snape gave him a blank look.
"But....I'm going to ask you...." Draco trailed off.
"Anything you want to me do." Snape said.

"Tell Belle about the fake marriage."

After all that conversation....Belle covered her mouth, trying not to cry.
Hearing this from Draco.....she felt...confused.

The marriage between Kara and Draco....is fake? she thought. With that, she left.

"I'll tell her the rest, Professor." Draco added.

Snape nodded. "Understood."
