It was Monday morning he was on his way to see Metin...like the engagement he'd been putting this meeting off for as long as he could...but he couldn't, not anymore. They had arranged to meet outside of the office. At Can insistence, as it was a personal matter.

Greeting each other they sat down...ordering two soft drinks Can got straight to it.

"Metin I need you to do me a favour."

"Anything my friend."

The next words were like a dagger through his heart. "I need you file for divorce...I need you to take care of it for me. But I need it done discreetly...i don't want it mentioned...even to Deren."

"Can are you sure...I mean I know you're engaged but..."

"It had to happen at some point...it was bound to...just a matter of one of us taking the first step. My decision has been made for me."

"Can I've asked before and I'll ask again are you sure about this Polen thing?"

"Metin there's something I haven't told you....she's pregnant."

"What...oh I get it that night..."

"Yes don't remind me..."

"Can are you sure, I mean..."

"Yes we've been to the doctors ....I've known for three months. I was just putting the engagement off. Anyway like I said I need you to file a divorce."

"Can look it's not that easy, I mean first we have to find an address of  where to send the papers. I mean you don't want to send them to her parents...do you?"

"Of course not...Metin just take care of it please."

"Ok....just suppose we find her as soon as...file for the divorce, it would still take up to three months for the divorce to be finalised."

"Ok Metin just deal with it please. I need to be at the office...anything i need to do let me know...thank you for this."

The publishing office was busy as usual with all the hustle and bustle. Sanem made her way to Yousef's office.

"Good morning." She found him seated.

"Good morning...how was your weekend."

She hesitated with the answer. "It was good..."

"But?"

"What...No...no but."

"I can see there is...come on Sanem I know you better than that. You're not normally this quite...and you were not supposed to be in today...if I remember correctly."

He had her there "Yes well Asli came banging on my door this morning. We went out Saturday...I did tell her I wasn't coming in today...but you know Asli...She'd forgotten. So I thought what the hell I'm up anyway"

"Any more to add...you just scrambled some rubbish together, it didn't make any sense. So what happened maybe I can help?"

Sighing she sat down, "It's nothing really...I was talking to Abla...hmm... well Can got engaged."

"What...oh so that's what it is...so how do you feel about it."

"Me...I'm err..I'm happy for him." She said doubtfuly.

"Sanem...come on don't keep it bottled up...talk to me?"

"Yousef I'm just glad that feelings can be suppressed."

"Yes...but for how long?"

"I made my decision when i decided to leave. It was for the best"
