Finding Our Way Back Home Can/Sanem

I would just like to say something... this page is going to be long and boring. But I need to get it off my chest...I humbly request every reader who visits this page to please read it....

Today a reader messaged me by private message...now this reader has messaged me numoursly reguarding my story...

Firstly it was constructive criticism...which I don't mind and welcome...

It was thing's like....

Like how I was pronouncing the turkish words...which by the way I only use a few in my story.

Ok so this was good advice which I took and used in the story.

Then it was like try to keep it real...the reader informed me...by saying there was no water surounding Ankara...to which I replied Sanem only works there...she live in a neighbourhood like her old home.

I replied that I try to keep it real... but that this was fiction you could live on the moon and have water surounding it....something along these lines. Anyway I think 1 or 2 more messages were sent to and fro.

One message was about a chapter of mine (chapter 12 I think..I can't really remember) the reader saying the chapter was all over the place that she couldnt understant it.

So today the reader sent me a message which was the final straw for me...I'm not normally a person who acts on the spot, but i was really upset... that I deleted the message there and then.

Now what I'm going to write is off the top of my head... from reading that message just once.

It was something in the lines of ...I can't keep it in no longer...the fact that you call the readers to vote at the start and end of each chapter to vote.

Saying that I was Threating readers that by not voting... I wasn't going to up date.

She insinuated that I'm harassing silent readers to vote.

I think she said that she was a silent reader but because of me she had to come out by writing the message...I really don't know. Because I'm sure I've seen her comment on a few stories, and she's a writer herself.

The reader wrote...your writing for your self. You can't expect to be rewarded.

She said in the lines of....the chapters are getting good...but probably because of me asking for readers to vote she doesn't want to read the story any more. Which is entirely her choice.

I have to say I have a shitty memory and I really can't remember any more and I don't really want to.

To each if her messages I have been as polite to the extreem as I possibably can.

Now i want to say something...this is to this reader...and i hope she does come onto this page to read this. I hate conflict but she has bought me to it.

1) Yes i do write for my self...thank you very much. It take me time and effort...and I am loving it. I love recieving the comments and the votes it inspires me. Writing is my passion and I'm very thankfull to be given the opportunity to carry it out...votes are a bonus. I want to see my hard work is being appreciated.

2) yes I ask for votes...at the start and end of the chapter...although at the start of the chapter I mostly thank readers for reading...voting and leaving comments. I do ask for votes at the end even silent readers.
Ok so I ask for votes, but its up to readers to decide if the chapter is worthly of a vote. By my asking doesn't necessarily mean the readers will vote. Its always their own choice.

3) I don't remember Threatening the readers to vote or I wouldn't update...However I have said the next chapter would depend on the number of votes. I've read authors here on wattpad write this. If I have offended any reader by writing this then I wholeheartedly ask for your forgivness. And anyway I never keep my word to that...I always end up updating an extra chapter.

4) As for the silent readers if I have offended you in any way or made you feel threatened or haressed by asking you to vote I ask for your forgivness... I was a silent reader my self. I have had silent readers leave me such wonderful comments and i don't remember threatening them....

5) This if fiction if I decide the moon is surrounded by water and I'm living on it... I can.

6) My chapteres are how I write them...every writer has their own unique style this is my way of
writing. In over 50-60 chapters of my work put together I haven't had any complaints...if I had any I'm sure would have looked into it and maybe done something about it.

7) It's every readers choice whether they read vote or comment on a story.
I fully respect that some may like ths story some may not....that entirely their choice. I don't see anything wrong with me as a writer to ask for votes whether it's at the start...the middle or the end.

Now I'm not writing this to get any sympathy from readers. But I'm going to tell you a little about my self.
I've always loved to write and have even hand written some stories years ago...tucked away on a floppy disk. I'm not a very confident person and coming onto this wattpad platform has been a big step for me. I feel very privileged to be given the chance to put my work out there....and to have got the response i have recieved to my stories is just amazing. Writing these stories has been an escape for me...from the never ending pressures of life. I've not proclaimed to be a professional writer in any way.

Today I was on the verge of just pressing a button to get out if here. But a good friend told me otherwise. I've had enough of this writer and I don't want any negitive messages sent to me. Hopefully if she does read this she'll get the message and leave me alone. This is my story and I'll write it any way i want to. If i want to ask for votes i will. I have never in any way wanted to make any one feel threatened... and sincerely apologise if I have. But i will continue to ask silent readers. That if they are liking the story so far please vote. It's entirely their choice...if they dont like it there are millions of other free stories they could read, here on wattpad.

Lastly I want to apologise to all the readers...I'm really not normally one to take things further but I'm just fed up. At the end of the day its just a fanfiction story...I can't and won't let people take advantage of me...I get it  enough in life.

So on a happy note I would like to thank each and every one of my regular readers who have read... voted and taken the time to leave me comments I can't express how much I appreciate each and every one. I'm really sorry for this rant but i had to let it out. I look forward to your continued support...and please remember comments and feedback are always welcome...Thank you.
