Chapter 47

I'm rocking the blonde hair for my photoshoot with Elle magazine today which is sweet since I haven't been on a cover of a magazine in a year. Plus it's just nice to have a chill day on set as opposed to all the hectic stuff that I do with my family.

Jen Atkin is working on my hair as I have my chicken salad for lunch and I am pretty excited to look like Marilyn Monroe after this.

Even though the whole world knows that I'm pregnant, I keep forgetting about it so I don't talk about my pregnancy at all. I announced it on the Jimmy Fallon show but I still feel as if I'm not ready to get into it especially with the all things going on.

"Ok Kandice, we are ready for you." I yawn as I pull myself out of my seat. I take one look at my stomach before walking onto set.

I spend the next hour posing infront of wooden doors before doing a few balcony shots. It was honestly boring just because I didn't have any of my sisters or Jose here to support me. Like I literally have not heard from anybody today and it is slightly aggravating since some of them are posting away on their social medias.

"Beautiful, Kandice you are stunning." I thank the photographer as we begin to go through the pictures, highlighting our favorites.

One of the directors of the shoot comes up to me, "Would you like to break before doing the nude shoot?"

"No way," I shake my head in horror. "I will bloat and look fat as fuck. We'll eat after I take the pictures."

They agree with me but not before taking my order on what I will be eating later on. I head back to my dresser, grabbing my phone and I begin texting into the family group chat. 

"Why is nobody answering?" I ask myself before calling Jose. I throw my phone to the side when he doesn't reply and the makeup artist begins to touch up my makeup.

Once I'm touched up, I head back to set where I spend another three hours shooting before giving an interview on classic beauty and my tips on looking good at my age.
