VIII: CRYING HYOMAS

JIHYO'S POV

"Jihyo? Why are you here?" halmeoni asked me the moment she saw me. Being shocked was evident on her. She let me in and helped me going inside. Who wouldn't be shock? I have my own condo and never go here at 12 in the midnight. That moment, she knew I have problem.

The moment I saw her, I immediately hugged her and couldn't stop crying. She was shocked by my action but managed to hug me back.

"What's wrong? Why are you crying?" she asked, still hugging me. I should not show this to her, but I couldn't stop myself. I want to burst it all out.

"H-halmeoni, can I sleep here?" I asked her while sobbing and now I have hiccups. I avoided to answer her question. I'm not yet ready to talk about it. She broke the hug and looked at me. She's worried. And she knows that I can't talk about that now.

"Of course my dear sonneyo" she agreed and pulled me closer for another hug. "It must be so hurtful. Don't worry, everything's gonna be okay. Just rest my dear" she said, trying to comfort me. I cried louder because I know she cares about me and I could feel her love.

"Gomawo halmeoni" I said and sobbed.

JEONGYEON'S POV

I was in my office while having my morning coffee since I couldn't drink mine at our house. I woke up late. I over slept last night. And I thought, now is my first time I could feel the good vibes here now. I could also say that I'm on a good mood and ready to work my bones.

While reading some paperworks and drinking coffee, my phone rang. I looked at the caller's ID and was shocked. It's unexpected.

"Jeongyeon-ah, are you busy?" the caller asked on the other line. Guess who?

"Halmeoni, why are you asking?" I asked back since I couldn't say that I am. Well, she is calling me sometimes and when she called, I know there's problem and it is really an important matter.

"Can you go here? Jihyo seems broken and hurt. She went here at 12 am crying. And it's already 10 am and she's not awake and seems like she doesn't has plan to go to work" she explained. Yes your guess was right, it's Jihyo's grandmother.

Jihyo's hurt? Why? Is it because of Yoongi? Why would she? She decided not to cross paths with Yoongi and try her hardes not to. Or is it another man? But it's impossible. She has'nt told me about dating anyone. And I know, she has her eyes only for Yoongi. Maybe about work? Huh?

"Halmeoni, mianhaeyo. I'm kinda busy right now since halmeoni didn't let me go to work yesterday. But I can send Lia there. I know she'll be okay if Lia is with her. What do you think?" I said and silence came on the other line. It lasted more than 5 seconds before she spoke again.

"Arasseo Jeongyeon-ah. Gomawo"

"Arasseo halmeoni. I hope Jihyo will be fine as soon as possible" I said and I heard a sigh on the other line. I also heard a man's voice. Jihyo's brother?

"Halmeoni, why is Jihyo's room locked? Is Jihyo here?" I heard he asked. He's talking to halmeoni.

"Jeongyeon-ah I'll end this call. Thank you again" halmeoni said and quickly ended the call.

I texted Lia's nanny to tell her driver to send Lia to Jihyo's house. It's a good thing that it is weekend and Lia has no school. I received an 'okay ma'am' as a reply. After that, I went back to my work.
