JEONGYEON'S POV

"Eomma, I don't know how to turn this feeling into words but I could say that tonight, I am the happiest child in the world. Not only tonight, but in everyday that God makes. I have you as my mom, and halmeoni eomma (lola mama) as my mama also" Lia cryingly said and sobbed. Tears also started to stream down on my face.

It really feels so good to have a daughter who will make you know that your decision is right, and that she's happy that you are her mom. I really don't know that being a mom is the best feeling I could ever feel not until now.

"Eomma, if I will be given a chance to choose who will be my mom, I will always choose you no matter what. Eomma, thank you so much for everything. I will always be grateful to you. And I will always do my all to show the gratitude I have for you" she continued then again, went down to me to give me a very tight hug.

I hugged her too and kissed her forehead. And then held her face to wiped her tears.

"Don't cry too much, your make up might ruined. You'll look ugly" I joked and laughed. She just cried louder and burried her face to my neck.

"Aw!" the speaker exclaimed while wiping his tears. "That was a very emotional and sweet scene that we would never forget" he continued then the audience clapped their hands.

Lia went back to her throne in front of the stage. Then the speaker signalled me to give my gift to her. I nod and went in front of the stage. My secretary handed me the box.

"Lia, I hope you'll like it. Again, happy birthday. I hope you'll grow into a very kind-hearted, sweet, parent-loving, and intelligent lady like your mom" I boasted and all of the people laughed including the speaker and Lia. Then Lia pouted her lips. I pinched her cheeks.

I put the necklace on her and she was amused by the gift. And she really liked it.

"It's beautiful mom. Gomawo" she expressed then showered my cheeks with her kisses.

After that, I went down and the speaker thanked me. I went to the table reserved for me and halmeoni. I focused myself in front when the speaker have something to say. I thought he will be going to end it but I was wrong.

"The next person who will give her gift to Miss Lia is..." by that, I was shocked since I thought I am the last to give the gift to Lia. "She's Miss Lia's special guest. She's from Korea and just arrived tonight just because of Miss Lia's request. Please welcome, daepyo-nim (CEO) Im Nayeon-ssi" and a woman who's wearing a casual clothes of denim jacket and shorts entered. Casual clothes in this formal event?

"Gomawo" she thanked the speaker. All eyes are on her and people are all shocked with her sudden appearance plus her outfit. Murmurs started to be heard.

The moment Lia saw her, she immediately stood up and welcomed her with a tight hug. She became so energetic with her presence. "Auntie Nayeon!" Lia screamed out of glee.

I don't know but my heart stinged a li'l bit. I didn't know that they still communicating with each other, plus the joy Lia felt when she saw that woman. I feel so jealous.

"Saengil chukka hae (happy birthday) my dear Lia" Nayeon greeted and handed her gift to Lia. "Oh I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself" she said then laughingly turned her gaze on me. The moment our eyes met, I swear, she smirked at me. How dare her?
