XII: LIKE A STAR

JIMIN'S POV

"The subscriber cannot be reach. Please try again later" the operator said and that made me to end the call. I sighed and leaned on the sofa.

Mina still cannot be reach. I'm starting to worry. What's wrong? Maybe she's already on the plane and turned her phone off. But why didn't she call me for 2 weeks? For sure if nothing's really happening, she'll call me before or during her flight. Aish!

I looked at my wristwatch and it says 6:30 pm. I've been home since I woke up and didn't do anything. I'm bored.

I was about to stand up when I see Jihyo came out of her room, dressed up elegantly. She's wearing blue off shoulder dress and her hair was tied up like a princess.

"Ya! Where are you going? Why are you dressed up beautifully?" I asked her and she was walking downstairs.

"It's my friend's daughter's birthday. Halmeoni and I are invited" she answered and turned around. "Do I look pretty?" she asked while smiling prettily. I shook my head and that's why she slapped my arm. She pouted her lips and crossed her arms.

Then halmeoni came out to her room also dressed up prettily. She's wearing a white coat with black underclothes and black pants. Her pixie hair is also fixed amazingly. She walked downstairs slowly and elegantly. She's feeling it.

"Halmeoni, why didn't you tell me that you're going somewhere? You're unfair" I said and pouted. I crossed my arms and acted like mad.

"Jihyo can your oppa go? Tell Jeongyeon that we'll be going to bring him" halmeoni commanded. Ooh! My charm's effective. Jihyo looked at me pissed and couldn't do anything but to follow. I sticked my tongue out to her and she just stomped her feet and rolled her eyes.

"Halmeoni, whose birthday celebration we will be going to attend to?" I asked her that's why she turned her gaze to me.

"Jihyo's friend Jeongyeon has a daughter whose name is Lia. She's turning 7 today" halmeoni answered that ringed my ear. Wait, Jeongyeon? Isn't she...?

"Jeongyeon? Yoo Jeongyeon?" I asked, curious if that's really her. Well, there's many korean here and maybe it's one of those who shared name with her.

"Yeah! How did you know her?" halmeoni surprisingly asked. It's really her. That annoying woman. We will be going to meet again?

I was about to answer halmeoni and tell her that I don't want to go with them anymore but Jihyo turned to us. "Halmeoni, Jeongyeon said oppa can go now" Jihyo said and that leave me no choice but to come.

We finally reached the venue of the party. It's obviously a 5star hotel and a nobles' party. So she's rich huh?

I went out of the car first and opened the door for halmeoni and Jihyo. As we went out, I was mesmerized by how elegantly this party. From the outside, you can say that this is a party for rich people. And it's only for 7th birthday celebration. Seriously what's her job? She's super rich.

"Halmeoni, that Yoo Jeongyeon, is she really super rich?" I asked halmeoni while we're walking heading inside. I was in between Jihyo and her. Jihyo was the one who answered me.
