XVII: THE AFTERMATH

JEONGYEON'S POV

It's been two weeks since that incident at the bar happened. And since that day, I never see him again. And also within that two weeks, I've been feeling something different in my body.

"Jeongyeon-ie, what's happening on you? Are you sick? Why are you throwing up?" Jihyo asked me as she was rubbing my back. I threw up again.

"Moreugesseoyo (I don't know) Jihyo. I've been like this since last week. I sometimes feel dizzy and I'm starting to feel hungry often" I answered and then she suddenly covered her mouth as she was shocked of my answer. I creased my eyebrows as I looked at her.

"When was your last period?" she asked that made me confuse. "Just answer it pabo!" she said as she was so eager to know.

"Omg. I was supposed to have menstruation last week, but aunt period did not visit me" I answered then covered my mouth as I remembered what happened to the bar.

Omg.

"Are you keeping something from me? Jeongyeon-ie? don't tell me..." she said and I quickly walked away from her. I went out of the comfort room inside my office and went to sit on my swivel chair. As expected, she followed me, looking at me with her interrogating look.

"Ani, ani!" I denied while shaking my head. But she kept on looking at me with that look again. "Jihyo-ah, you know that Jin cheated on me. And you also know that I have no lover. So it is really impossible for me to be what you are thinking about me" I defended but then she leaned on the table and looked at me closer.

"So where did you go last two weeks ago? When you went missing and did not come home that night? And then at the morning, you showed up with an absent mind and nervousness?" she interrogated and then looked at me with an investigating look.

"Uhmm.. Y-you know, I just have to refresh myself after knowing about Jin's motive. I-I just wandered all night and when the night came, I decided to book in a hotel because I don't have my car and I felt so tired" I defended and pushed her face away from me. "Are you out of your mind? Thinking that I am pregnant? What the heck!" I said and fortunately, she was convinced with my answer that made me sighed.

You're right Jeongyeon, you are not pregnant. Yah! Impossible.

"Yeah you're right. Or maybe you are sick. Try to consult to a doctor. Don't push yourself too hard just because Nayeon is here. Don't also think that she will get the company from you. She's your sister, she is the one you should trust" Jihyo said that suddenly changed my mood. I did not reply to her for a couple of minutes. But then the atmosphere became awkward so I talked.

"Please don't ever say her name when you are talking to me. And don't you ever say that she's my sister because I cut the tie between us long time ago" I said that made her bow.

"Mianhae" she apologized and smiled. I smiled too to ease her uneasiness.

She stood up and heave a heavy deep breath. I know she just want to help I and Nayeon's relationship.

"Okay then. I have to go. Ddo bwayo (see you later)" she said while wearing her smile. I stood up to bow to her.
