XXXVII: DISTANCING

JEONGYEON'S POV

Today is the day that I promised Lia that we, Jimin, her and I will go out. But unfortunately, Jimin did not come home last night until now. And I have no intention of texting him since surely he's having a great time with Mina and I don't want to be a nuisance. But Lia doesn't want this hang out to happen without Jimin.

"I don't want to go out if uncle Jimin will not be with us" Lia whined while stomping her feet. I pulled her up but she's struggling. I tried to have more patience.

"Lia, your uncle Jimin will not be with us. He's busy with the company" I tried telling her but she's still pushing what she wants.

"But you both promised me that we will go out together. I've been waiting for this day to happen and now, you both will ruin it?" she cried loudly and her stomping became more loud. "Jebal mommy. Call uncle Jimin, I'm sure he will leave his work just to be with us. Jebal" she plead while clinging into my legs. I knelt down to be on her level.

I felt guilty seeing her in this situation. I know how much she wants to bond with Jimin but right now, Jimin is with the person more important than the both of us. And I don't want to get happy time away from him.

"Lia how many times do I have to tell you, your uncle cannot do that because halmeoni will get mad at him" I told her but she shook her head.

"Aniyo, aniyo. I know. I can feel it. There is something happening between you two" she said that surprised me. "I know it. Did you two fight again? He did not come home last night. Don't fool me mommy" she continued and I was amazed by how observant she is. How come she knew it? And she's very smart understanding the situation.

"Watch your words Lia. You are being disrespectful" I said with an anger on my tone. She cried louder and threw her arms. I stood up and sighed. "Arasseo. You don't want to go out without your uncle Jimin? Okay. I'll go by myself with Kottagji. I will not force you again" I warned her that made her to stand up. I turned my back to her. I thought she will gonna plead to me and say 'okay mommy let's go' but seems like she's hardheaded.

"I hate you mommy. I hate you and uncle Jimin. You are both promise breakers" she shouted then started running upstairs. I sighed due to guilt.

I sat down on the sofa and opened my phone. I opened my contacts and stopped to Jimin's id.

While looking at Jimin's caller id, a call popped up that surprised me. Due to shock, I accidentally clicked the answer button.

"Oh Jesus Christ!" I exclaimed, shocked. I held my chest. I almost got a heart attack.

"Jeongyeon-ah?" he asked over the phone.

"Ya! I almost got a heart attack. Mee cheen nom! (you crazy bastard!)" I shouted madly. I heard a laugh on the other line. I sighed aggressively.

"I missed hearing you curse" he said laughingly. I rolled my eyes as if he can see me.

"Why did you call? What do you need? Isn't Mina with you? Don't call me. She'll suspected us" I said and that hurts my heart. I sighed silently. I heard him sighed too.
