Sleep was a struggle that night. The pain in my head had made its way through my entire body and it was hard to sit still. It felt like everything was repelling each other like two magnets of the same pole. The only thing that seemed to make it better was moving and walking, so that's what I did. All. Night. Long.

I paced around the room and then the hallways and then the whole of the house. It was around four in the morning when Amadeus woke up and wasted no time calling Seren and Leven, that's how I ended up here sitting on the bed fidgeting with two people in long black robes standing in front of me. The woman, Seren, was just staring at me intensely while the man, Leven, was standing back with Amadeus waiting to see what her verdict was.

I watched her hand as she reached it out and put it on my head. As soon as her skin made contact with mine, my eyes widened as I felt an immense amount of magic energy force its way into my head. It followed the path of the pain trickling down into my face and my neck, but it stopped at my chest. All the energy flowed into the very center and it caused something inside of me to snap. Sweat instantly covered every inch of my skin and when my brain focused back into the real world, I could hear myself screaming.

"You're hurting her!" Amadeus shouted somewhere in the background.

"She'll be fine," Seren stated.

It wasn't long after she said that, that she removed her hand from my head leaving me there trying to catch my breath again. She immediately turned her back to me and started talking to Amadeus.

"She's stable, but something inside of her is indeed off. It's hard to tell exactly if this is the start of the spell but keep a close eye on her, if this is the spell it'll be any day now."

"How do you not know?" I asked. "I thought that's what you were here for."

"This isn't exactly a common thing girl." She said flatly.

"So, I'm just supposed to sit here until something happens to me?" I snapped.

"Unfortunately, that's all we can do Katalin," Leven answered. "As soon as anything escalates, if it escalates, then we'll have everything under control, and you'll be safe."

"How do I know that though?"

"It's hard to explain exactly what we're capable of dear, so all I can ask is that you trust us."

I let out a sigh, "It's not like I have much of a choice here."

Seren whispered something in Amadeus' ear and just like that they disappeared just as quickly as they had appeared. I could tell Amadeus' was thinking hard about something, but he was talking before I could start pestering him with questions.

"I'm going to talk to them some more, you should try to get some sleep. I'll send Indigo up to keep an eye on you."

Just as he got to the door, I asked what we were both thinking, "This is the beginning, isn't it?"

"They seem to think so." He answered. "They want to prepare me more before anything more.... serious happens."

"Don't you think that this is something that I should be a part of?" I asked.

"Please don't start with this Katalin." He sighed. "I'll give you all the information they give me when I return, but for now it's safer if you stay here so I know where you are."

Before I could start anything, he was gone. I got myself comfortable in bed and it wasn't long after that when Indigo and Semoda popped their heads into the room. They were both doing their best to be cheerful, but it was clear that they felt how I looked. Semoda came and curled up in my lap while Indigo sat across from me on the bed. Immediately I noticed that she had something on her mind.
