Secrets our hearts hide

Emma was walking out her dorm room. She was nervously heading towards Regina's office. She wasn't nervous actually. She was petrified. Reginas angry scared her. They felt no feelings for each other except Emma felt fear and Regina felt anger. She walked into Regina's office while knocking.

"Don't knock if your just going to walk in" Regina sighed looking up quickly. She shoved a photo into a draw so fast it nearly broke. Emma looked a little confused at Regina as to what she was hiding. "Sit" she ordered as she pulled her chair in closer to the desk.

"What you hiding in there" Emma curiously asked as she sat down with a smile.

"None of your business" Regina growled with a glare.

Her eyes teared a little at the thought of the photo. She held them back and looked back up at Emma. The blonde was looking curious.

"What's wrong" she sweetly asked sounding like she actually cared.

"I'm not telling you. It's personal" Regina quickly said with a hard frown.

"Fine. Well then let's get on with this" Emma sighed knowing Regina is hiding lots of secrets.

"Ok. Stand up" Regina ordered as she stood to her feet. Emma copied and watched Regina walk around her desk. "Can you speak any Spanish? Like how to introduce yourself or stupidly lie about being a bartender" Regina said looking at Emma like she was stupid.

"I didn't lie. I'm a bar tender at that bar" Emma replied with a chuckle.

"How? He must know your 18 and served you" Regina questioned very confused.

"He's not good at dates. When we first met he thought I was 30 which actually insulted me. I just told him I was 21" Emma shrugged with a chuckle at the thought of it.

"You've got confidence swan. That will come in handy" Regina said trying to hide she's depressed at that point.

"Thanks. I can say hello and introduce myself but that's it" Emma said noticing Regina's behaviour.

"Well if your going to speak Spanish then there's lots to learn. You if you speak to Spanish woman you have to be careful because some can be very snobby about there jobs" Regina explained using her hands as she spoke like she always did.

"So I should have been careful with you" Emma asked curiously.

"No! I'm not snobby" Regina growled with a frown at the blonde.

"You kinda are. Today you stood there and kicked someone out for asking a stupid question" Emma replied with a laugh Regina didn't know.

"That girl asked if Charle Dickens was still alive. I'm not having her in my class" Regina said with a cocky look on her face.

"Either way your snobby. I mean have you seen how strict you are in class like you own the place" Emma laughed not realising the anger she inflicted on Regina.

"How dare you call me snobby?! Get out now!" Regina snapped as her nostrils flared and her eyebrows frowned hard.

"We had a deal" Emma annoyedly questioned.

"We can start tomorrow. Get out now"

"No I'm here and we're doing this" Emma sighed shocked she just tried kicking her out.

"NOW!" Regina shouts full of anger.

Emma huffed and walked out the door fast. Regina sat in her chair and placed her head on her hands. For the first time in so long tears slipped out of her eyes. One by one until she was crying out loud and in pain. She held her stomach since it hurt. Regina looked up quickly to make sure her door was closed. Luckily it was.

"I can't do this" Regina sobbed as she thought of her problems.

Meanwhile Emma walked into her dorm room. She saw her room mate sat by the window smoking. She had her black hair and was quite short.

"Hey Lily. Got one for me" Emma asked acting casual.

"Yeah. Your back early" she asked with a chuckle and holding a cigarette towards the blonde.

Emma walked over and took it out her hand. She lit it before taking in the smoke. As she let it out she made sure it went out the window so the room didn't smell like smoke.

"Yeah well the tutor was being a bitch and kicked me out for today" Emma sighed annoyed at the fact Regina over reacted.

"Who is it" Lily asked looking like she was tired but actually she was just high.

"Professor Mills. I said something small so she flipped and kicked me out"   Emma replied getting even more confused why Regina acted like she did.

"Ow em no. Professor Mills has the reputation of the most strict professor in the college. You do the slightest thing wrong and she'll send your ass out" Lily quickly said shocked Emma decided to annoy Regina.

"She can't be that bad. It doesn't matter. She is stuck with me for the year" Emma replied laughing since Regina can't kick her out forever.

"I wouldn't piss her off. There's rumours going around that she is worse this year because she's got a broken heart" lily replied feeling sorry for Regina now.

"How do you know"

"Teachers have been talking about it. Only whispers about Regina's heart being broken and she is angry all the time. Yesterday everyone was talking about it. If it's true then I feel bad" Lily says as she sat down since she was so high.

"Yeah... I feel bad too" Emma replied as she realised Regina was at that bar because of a breakup.
