The next day. Regina woke up in her old bed from when she was a child. She was just led there staring at the ceiling. Regina looked across at the time and saw it was 8:27. She knew Emma would be awake since she has a class in half an hour. Regina thought to call her. It rang a few times and Emma answered.

"Well this is a surprise. Hey how's Beverly Hills" Emma said with a chuckle as she answered the phone.

"Awful. That's why I'm calling you. Need a stupid blonde to cheer me up" Regina said making herself laugh a little.

"Rude. How come it's so bad" Emma curiously asked knowing she has no clue what Regina's life is like.

"My family are crazy rich meaning they think there better than everyone. Lots of people call us snobby which I can't stand" Regina sighed as she thought about what her parents are like.

"So I take it you don't get along with them" Emma said with a chuckle as she was getting dressed.

"No. None of us get along. I told them I'm divorced and my mother simply rolled her eyes and asked me when I'm going to learn. I wish I could come home" Regina said realising she sounds mopey but not caring right now.

"That sucks. How come your stay for a week? Did you find out why they made you come down" Emma asked straightening her hair in the mirror.

"Yeah. My grandmother died. We're here for the week because a stupid Mills family tradition and since she's on my fathers side we have to do it" Regina sighed as she sat up annoyed and looking down at her feet.

"Mills family tradition? What is that" Emma asked very confused by such a thing.

"We spend a week mourning for the dead. It starts 3 days after the person dies so today. On the first day we go to where the person died and lie a red rose. On the second day we eat the favourite meal to honour the persons death. The third day we have to pray they go to heaven even if we're not religious. The fourth we set up for the funeral. The fifth is the funeral. The next two days are just paying respect" Regina explained struggling to actually remember how it happens.

"That's a long week. Why do you do it" Emma asked looking a little confused at what Regina had said.

"That's what a traditional is Emma" the brunette said in a tone to show she thought Emma was asking stupid questions.

"Well I'm sorry for your loss" Emma softly said knowing it might be hard.

"Thank you. Sorry I called you so early" Regina said as her eyes dart around the room that held memories.

"It's fine. I was getting dressed anyway. I'll have to go soon though. I'm glad you called though" Emma said smiling as she was led on her bed.

"I'm surprised I did. I guess I just needed a good friend to talk to" Regina said as she smiled and thought about Emma. Her door then knocked. "One sec em. Come in" Regina said looking up at her door.

"Hey. Dad said you need to come down" Diana said as she stepped into the door.

"Sure. I'll be down in a minute" Regina said looking back at her phone.

"What happened with you and Joshua" she asked knowing it has hurt Regina badly.

"I don't want to talk about it" Regina replied repeating the same words she has every time someone asked.

"Well don't say I didn't try helping. You better come fast. Fathers doesn't want to wait long" Diana said as she began leaving the room.

She left the room and closed the door. Regina placed the phone to her ear after sighing at her sister. Her family barely knew who she was. She wanted it that way.

"Why don't you talk to your family about josh" Emma asked before Regina could speak.

"I don't talk to people about my problems. You were the shocking exception" Regina replied with a chuckle of amusement that Emma didn't know this yet.

"Well I'll let you go. You can call whenever. I have a chilled day" Emma said as she sat up in her bed and got ready to leave.

"Thanks Emma. I'll talk to you when I do. Bye" Regina says smiling a little at the fact Emma was there for her.

"Bye" Emma simply replied with a smile before hanging up.

"Yo em. What you doing tonight" Lily asked as she woke up in the bed next to her.

"Nothing. My tutoring is cancelled due to professor Mills being away. Why" Emma replied looking across as her tired roommate.

"Come out with me and the squad tonight. We got alcohol and hella drugs. Wanna party" Lily asked smiling very tiredly since she was really hungover.

"Sure. Why not" Emma regrettably said knowing it wasnt a good idea.
