The next week came. Regina returned home on the Sunday tired and emotional from the funeral on Saturday. Today was Monday so she was back to teaching. Regina awaited her first class which Emma was meant to be in. She wasn't.

"Good morning class. I'm sorry I wasn't here last week. I had family problems" Regina announces as she made her presence known in the classroom. Regina looked around the room to see who was missing. She saw it was only Emma. "Does anyone know where Emma swan is" she asked confused why the blonde was missing her class.

"I'm here" she said walking into the class. She had her messy blonde hair tied into a low ponytail since she didn't care. She was tired and hungover. "Sorry I'm late" Emma softly said as she sat down in the free seat next to her.

"Don't do it again. Now class. Did you read the book you were assigned and do your paper on it? You had an extra week so there should be no exception" Regina said as she looked around her class to spot someone who hadn't done it. She kept glancing up at Emma who was making it obvious she wasn't paying attention. She was asleep. "Miss swan get out" Regina ordered waking the blonde up.

"What" Emma asked looking up tired.

"I don't tolerate sleepers. You come here to learn not nap. Get out" Regina said looking at her sternly.

Emma frowned and stood up. She stormed out the room angry. Regina was annoyed at what she came home to find Emma like. She ignored it for now and taught her lesson. Once it ended she let everyone out and prepared for her next.

"You fucking kicked me out" Emma snapped as she stormed into the room. Regina looked round at her angry as to what she just said. She then looked back at her board to write. "Don't ignore me!" Emma growled as she turned Regina around to face her.

"I'm not talking to you right now. You know the rules. My office. End of the day" Regina said looking at her disgusted.

"Fine. Welcome back by the way. Thanks for messaging" Emma sarcastically said showing she was angry.

"I don't have to tell you anything. You want to talk to me. Come back at the end of the day" Regina replied as she turned around to face the board she was writing on.

Emma quickly left Regina's room. Angry she done that. She went back to her dorm room and stayed there the rest of the day. Mostly sleeping but also drinking and smoking. Regina taught all day. Trying to stop her mind from focusing on Emma. Once the end of the college day came for Regina she went to her office. Awaiting Emma. Her door then swung open and the blonde walked in looking worse than before.

"Well I'm here" Emma said looking at her annoyed.

"Sit down now" Regina angrily ordered as she points at the seat in front of her. Emma walked over nearly stumbling and slouched into the chair. Regina instantly smelt alcohol and smoke on Emma's skin and clothes. "You reek. I left one week and you turn into this" Regina snapped as she sat forward and made it clear how angry she was.

"Why do you care? You don't give a shit about me" Emma said looking at the ground annoyed but not wanting to look at Regina.

"I don't give a shit? You really think I'd call you in here to talk about this and be THIS angry at you if I didn't care! Are you joking" the angry brunette snapped as she slammed her hands on the table and stood up.

"No. You make me talk but when I ask you scold me before you even think of telling me. You only called me when you were bored that first day. After that you didn't bother speaking to me. You don't actually care about me. Your just nosy and want to know what happened" Emma said calmly but the anger showed in her face as she was looking down still.

"That's what think of me" Regina asked standing up straight. She walked around her desk and stood in front of Emma. She leaned against the arms and got close to Emma. "You really think that's what I'm doing? Just being nosy" Regina asked now using her intimidating look.

"Yeah I do. I don't have many people in my life that care about me. For some sick reason I thought you might but I was wrong" Emma replied finally raising her head to meet Regina's eyes.

The brunette looked into the green orbs in front. The pupils were small and what was once white was now red. Regina frowned as she saw it. She held Emma's face and lifted it up a little so the light could shine in more.  She instantly knew Emma was high.

"You drunk and high" Regina sighed letting go of Emma's face annoyed.

"So" the blonde shrug looking down.

"So what the fuck? Whether you believe me or not I care about you. More than I should. Tell me now. Why are you high and what did you take" Regina calmly but angrily said as she glared hard into Emma's eyes.

"It doesn't matter" Emma sighed as she tried standing up.

"Sit" Regina said pushing her back down. "What did you take" she asked now raising her voice a little and getting angrier.

"I just smoked a lot of weed and drunk a bottle of vodka. Big deal" Emma replied like she didn't care what had happened.

Regina looked her up and down. Seeing how she looked weak and vulnerable. Regina didn't like seeing her like that. It worried her. She stood up straight and held her hand out to Emma.

"Stand up. Your coming home with me tonight" Regina softly said as she looked at Emma and hid her worry.

"Why" Emma asked confused at Regina's offer.

"Because I said so. Come on" Regina said now reaching down and taking Emma's hand. She blonde sighed and stood up. She just looked at Regina not sure what to do. The last thing anyone would have guessed to happen did. Regina pulled Emma into a hug. "I'm going to take care of you... and all this stops now"
