Fuck.

"Is there any place you guys hung out or any place she goes to clear her head sometimes?" 

"No, we just recently got close, I don't know her too well..." she sighed. 

"Well I'm going to come help you look for her, keep me updated and be safe, baby. I love you." I say. 

Fuck, that was the first time I said that to Jen, and it was under weird circumstances. 

"Will do, I love you too." she said, hanging up. I definitely owe her a redo after all this shit is cleared up.

I walk over to Danny and Sam and whisper to them the situation. I didn't want Jake to hear, he would only make matters worse. 

"You're shitting me." Sam said, looking at me in disbelief. 

"Shh, I don't want Jake to hear" I said. 

"What are we gonna do?" 

"You and Danny are gonna stay here in case she comes back. Keep Jake distracted, and I'm gonna go help Jen look for her. I'll text you guys if we find her." 

"Okay, good luck." 

I sneak out and practically sprint to the car. Damn it, Jake. This is all your fault. 

**YOUR POV**

My phone rang in the passenger seat of my car. I peaked over to see that there was a missed call from Jen. I forgot she would probably notice. I didn't think anyone noticed anything I did. I pulled over to the side of the road and called her back. 

"Hello? Y/N? Hello??" she was freaking out

"Hey" I said, meekly.

"Where are you?" 

"Um, I went to see my mom." 

"Babes. That's a horrible idea." 

"Yeah I know, which is why I left shortly after seeing her."

"So where are you now?"

"Um hang on let me check," I said taking a a look at my gps "It says im a few hours out from New Mexico"

"What are you going to do in New Mexico? Y/N come back, please. We are all super worried about you."

"Jen, don't worry, I'm fine. I'm going to stay with Nick for a while. I just can't face Jake again for a bit. I'll come back once he's gone. Or once she's gone." 

Nick was one of my childhood friends that I hadn't seen in a while. Him and his fiancee lived in a nice loft style apartment in New Mexico. He was a few years older than me and already had his life together, so you could see why I was panicky all the time. 

"So there's nothing I can do to convince you otherwise?" 

"No"

"Okay. Well I love you, be safe please. And please please keep texting me, don't shut me out okay? I am here for you. I promise."

"I will, I love you too." I said, ending the call. 

I sigh and crank up 'Little Green' by Joni Mitchell. 

**JOSH'S POV**

"Hello Josh??" Jen's voice called from the phone

"You find her??" I asked, hopeful.

"Yeah, but"

"What is it?"

"She's in New Mexico"

"NEW MEXICO??" I practically scream. 

"Yeah, she wanted to leave before Jake left. Don't worry she's staying with her childhood friend, so she's safe. Please don't let Jake know."

"That's good to hear, I'm glad she's safe. My loyalty is with her, what Jake did was wrong, I don't care that he's my brother." 

"Thank you. Now get back to the party before they suspect anything. I'll be there soon. I love you." 

"I will, love you too." 

I drive back to the house and go straight to Danny and Sam asking to talk to them in the other room. They excuse themselves from Joy and Kenzi and follow me into the dining room. 

I explain the fact that Y/N is in New Mexico and staying with her friend until we leave for tour. I explain the pact between her and Jake and all the bullshit he put her through. 

"NEW MEXICO??" Sam screams.

Danny hurried to cover his mouth with his hand. 

"Shhhhh" Danny and I said simultaneously. 

Sam nodded, moving Danny's hand off his mouth. 

"Are you serious?" Danny asked. I nodded. 

"Not like Jake is going to care though, he's just going to find some way to turn it on her. Plus he's preoccupied." 

Sam's eyes got wide. I turned around, following his line of vision. Jake was standing behind me. 

I don't know what compelled me to, but it happened before I could register what was happening. 

I punched Jake in the face. Hard.

It's only going to get more wild from here guys. I don't know how long I can draw out this story so it may be around 15 chapters. We'll see!
