Coffee Break

Hot chocolate

Maddie's P.O.V-

I wake up and find Anna asleep next to me. I remember that yesterday, we were writing together and we fell asleep on my bed. I smile as I remember I finally had a day off from work.

I get up and change into some clothes which consisted of a pair of black skinny jeans and a band shirt. I put my shoes on and set out to go back to the cafe with the best hot chocolate.

I walk into the familiar cafe with the nicest scent ever. I walk up to the counter and find the same guy working behind to counter. I decided mentally, I need to find out his name.

"Why hello there again"

"Hi" I manage to say, I was nervous when it came to talking to  new people.

"Another hot chocolate?"

"How did you know?"

"I'm a mind reader, remember"

"Oh yeah. Well in that case, what's my name?"

"Ummm.. You look like a blue. Is your name blue?" He pointed to my hair and I gasp.

"No but that's what all my friends call me!"

"Seriously?!"

"Well Mr mysterious, my name is actually Maddie but most people call me blue"

"Maddie. That's a nice name. I'm Luke" I shake his hand. Mission accomplished, his name was Luke. He hands me my hot chocolate to go and smirks. I wave and walk out.

I see a little note tapped to the side and I pull it off.

'Hey blue, you looked amazing today. Have a great day beautiful'

I skip to my house and quietly enter. For some reason, Luke's note had made me smile, I think it's the fact that he was the first guy to call me beautiful.

I walk up the stairs and take my hot chocolate cup with me. I place the note he left me inside the cup he wrote on last time. This is my little collection.

I hear Anna moving downstairs and I run down to see her smiling at her phone.

"Oh! Anna! Someone's smiling at a text, is it a guy?"

"No, it's off my younger sister. She just got a new phone"

"Awww! Show me" I smile as she shows me a text from her younger sister Jade. I could see Anna missed Jade and I feel bad as it was my idea to move to Australia.

"Anyway, where have you been Mad?"

"The cafe. The hot chocolate is to die for"

"Aww! You should have got a coffee for me"

"Sorry. I have to take Alfie for a walk if you want to come"

"I'll just get changed" She jogs up the stairs. I sit on the sofa and think about Luke. I daydream about him for 10 minutes before Anna comes down and snaps me out of it. Did I like him? 

"We ready to go mad?"

"Yeah" I slip Alfie's lead on his neck and we both set our for the park.

We stop outside the cafe and I decide not to go in, to see if he gives notes to all girls. She comes out smiling.

"Whats up?"

"The boy behind the counter"

"No...no, You don't like him"

"Yeah! He called me amazing while I left"

"But I saw him yesterday, he likes me"

"But he called me amazing"

"He called me beautiful"

"That's it" She ties Alfie to a post and we stroll in. I see Luke and he grins at me. I look at Anna who looks confused.

"See I told you he likes me"

"That's not the boy who served me..."

"Oh"

"You're back for some more hot chocolate?" He smiles.

"No, um, my friend wanted to show me.. something but it's not here"

"Oh. Well.. ugh..Have fun beautiful" He says while we leave and I couldn't stop myself from smiling.

"He called you beautiful"

"I know! He's so cute too!"

"That's why you drink hot chocolate so much!"

"Why not? It's the best chocolate ever and look who serves it" I laugh.

"Well the boy that served me was hotter" She winks.

"Really?"

"Yeah, he had tanned skin, a little fringe and had the cutest accent"

"Aww An, he sounds perfect for you. Why are the guys so hot in Australia" I laugh. 

We walk to the park with Alfie and we sit on the same bench. She takes out her notebook and begins to write. I see Luke walk out in black ripped skinny jeans and a greenday shirt.

He moves quickly towards the park and walks over to the same tree I was looking at last time. He begins to climb and stops on a high branch. He pulls out a book and begins to write just like Anna and I were. 

I continue to watch him as he thinks about his words carefully. He instantly looks at me and bites his lip while smiling. He puts the book away and slowly climbs down the tree making me smirk. 

"What are you doing here blue?"2

"I'm writing"

"Writing?"

"Anna and I come here to write songs" I point to Anna who suddenly stares towards the cafe. I smile as the boy who walked out comes over to us smiling. 

"You write songs? Are you in a band?"

"Yeah, we're called the unnamed casualty" I smile

"That's what I'm doing here, writing. I'm in a band and we call ourselves 5 seconds of summer. Some call us 5sos. I love your band name though"

"I've heard of 5sos! My old friend used to love your band, especially Michael"

"That's cute. Well Michael's single, I am also single, so is Ashton and I'm not to sure about Calum now" He points to Anna and the boy, who I now know is called Calum, talking and I smile.

"We should hang out some time blue"

"I'd like that"

"Maybe next time, you'll get my number on your cup"

"Hopefully" I collect Alfie and see Luke walk back to the tree. I wave at him while I walk back over to Anna who was smiling like an idiot. Calum waves at her and begins to walk over to Luke.

"He's so sweet! He gave me his number"

"Aww! He's in a band as well"

"Seriously?"

"Yeah. They're called 5 seconds of summer"

"No way!"

"Yep, he's best friends with Luke"

"Your coffee boy?"

"My coffee boy' I nod and look over at him who smiles back. I wave as we walk towards our house.
