Coffee Break

First month

Maddie's P.O.V-

*1 month later*

I walk down into the living room where Luke has our bag. He was deeply excited and I couldn't wait to see his react. Luke and I were planning on going to his family house to stay so they could see our kids. It was only for a night but I was excited.

"Ready Mrs Hemmings?"

"I'm ready" He smiles and we get into his new car. He drives at a good pace and soon we get to his old house.

I get out and all the memories flow back. The party. Loosing Luke for an hour or so. Falling on Donatello. The pain I had in my back after I fell on it.

"MADUKE" Liz shouts while running over to us.

"Liz" I give her a giant hug as Andrew and Luke's brothers come out.

"Luke" She runs over and hugs him. I walk over to Ben and Jack, hugging them both.

"Hey Maddie" They say almost at the same time. I laugh along with them.

We all pull off our hugs and somehow Luke and I make our way back to each other. Andrew had already taken charge and took both babies into the living room.

"So, how are you both?" Liz smiles.

"I'm excited, what about you?" Luke asks placing his hand gently on my shoulder

"Ever since the children have arrived I haven't stopped smiling" I say having a little giggle.

"They are adorable" Andrew says coming in with Zoe in my hands.

"Ohhh! I want to see Leo" Liz says walking over and picking him up. I smile as Leo laughs while he looks at Liz.

"Your kids look just like Luke did" Jack replies playing with Zoe.

"They do" The whole family agrees.

"Yeah, luckily Zoe has my brown hair like me though"

"Leo has my blonde" Luke winks coming over to me.

He looks out the window and sees Molly, the family dog outside.

"MOLLY" He runs out and begins to play with her. I walk out with him and take pictures because they looked so adorable.

"This is going on Instagram" I smile and post the photo. Luke smiles and gives his pet a hug again. I see Liz walk out and I smirk.

"You both get settled in, us 4 will play with your children" Luke walks out an begins to get the bags.

"Thanks Liz, for helping us look after the twins like this"

"It's okay, anything for my son and his wife" She smiles and sits down.

I walk outside to find Luke and begin to unpack with him. We run to his old room with our bags. I beat him to his room and laughs.

"We are children" He jokes and we puts our things in the cupboard.

Soon enough, Liz comes up to tell us that food was ready and we both ran down as we were starving.

"I made an Italian pasta thing, I forgot what it's called"

"Cannelloni mum" Jack laughs as she sits down. We all dig in and I was amazed, Liz knew how to cook.

"So how's the house?" Luke's dad asks, making conversation.

"It's good, every room is completed and the mortgage is already payed off" Luke smiles proudly, grabbing my hand under the table making me giggle.

We finish dinner and go play with Zoe and Leo who were finally awake. I loved seeing them lively.

"You two know how to make children" Andrew says playing with Zoe.

"Thanks Mr Hemmings" I freeze after I say the words. That's what I call Luke and saying it to his dad is weird. Luke also noticed it and bursts out into laughter.

"What's wrong?" Liz asks.

"Nothing, personal joke" Luke nods in agreement. I walk over and sit down next to him, watching our children and their grandparents.

After a while, I get tired and so does Luke. Luckily, our twins are asleep so we put them to bed and then put ourselves to bed.

We slide into his bed and I give him a warm hug. He kisses my cheek and I turn to face him.

"You know I love you right?"

"What have you done?"

"Forgot pengy"

"I HATE YOU ERGGG" He complains and turns to face the wall.

"If it helps, I'll get up to feed them tonight?"

"Much better" I see that he's pouting which makes me laugh. I close my eyes and rest my head on his pillow.

3 hours later

I get up at 1am to find Zoe crying next to me.

I quietly pick her up not waking anyone up and rock her until she falls asleep.

She takes ages to sleep and so I do one thing that I know will make her sleep.

'We'll never be as young as we are, it's time to leave this-'

"You okay Mads?"

"I'm singing her to sleep"

"Awww, you chose my song?"

"They like them"

"They know how to choose a band" Zoe falls asleep and I get bad into bed.

"Ohhhh I'm cold" I say rubbing my legs to heat them up when I feel two arms slip around my waist.

"That's why I'm here" I fall asleep in Luke's arms making me feel safe.
