Pagdating ko sa harap ng office ni Dean, nandon na si Wong nakatayo lang. Nakita naman nya ako at ngumiti pero alam mo na medyo bothered din sya.

"Tara?" I held her hand and squeezed it one time, then let go.

Finally, she smiled at medyo nakahinga.

I knocked three times tapos pumasok na kaming dalawa. Nakaupo lang si Dean behind the desk.

"Good morning," bati nito sa amin ng nakangiti.

"Good morning po," sabay naming sabi.

She motioned for us to sit kaya naupo na kaming dalawa.

"I've heard good things about your respective teams and napanood ko ang first games nyo pareho. I want to congratulate you both for doing great at sana tuloy tuloy lang."

Shocks! Akala ko kung bakit. Happy lang pala sya sa contributions namin sa team.

"Thanks po. We're just doing what we have to do." Sagot ni Wong.

"Mahal rin po namin ang sport at ang university, kaya ginagawa namin lahat para manalo." Dagdag ko naman.

Dean smiled at us, "Also, I'm surprised na you both have a fans club. As young as your playing career, imagine collegiate level pa lang pero may followers na kayo. Actually, it helps our school in terms of marketing strategy. More people, especially the best students and athletes will come to us in the future. That is very impressive from the both of you."

Wong and I thanked the Dean again for all the praises. At least, puro papuri. Walang nega.

Biglang naging seryoso ang muka ni Dean.

Biglang lumakas ang tibok ng puso ko. Walang nagsalita sa amin kasi wala namang tanong.

Dean shook her head, "I agree with you na relationships should be between the two persons involved lang and no others have a say in it. I also agree na 2019 na. We have to accept the fact na times have changed. However, familiar naman siguro kayo sa rule ng dorm na no boyfriend or any guy is allowed to get inside or stay overnight in any of the women's room. Same rule applies to the male athletes. Whoever is caught breaking the rule will be kicked out the doorm, of their teams and will either lose their scholarship or worst, be kicked out of the university. Depending on the gravity. Naintindihan nyo naman yun di ba?" She paused.

Wong and I looked at each other. Mukang kalmadao lang sya. Habang ako, parang alam ko na kung san pupunta ang usapang to. At sobrang kaba na may halong takot ang nararamdaman ko. Sobrang importante sakin ang scholarship ko at ang makatapos sa best university. It will help my family a lot.

Tapos sabay din kaming nag nod ng yes kay Dean to affirm na naintindihan naman namin yung rule.

"Good. In that case, it's only fair to implement the same rule to same sex relationships di ba?  Yan ang una kong concern kaya ko yao tinawag dito. At dahil nga sa dami ng fans nyo, madami rin kayong detractors. I'm surprised to know through social media na alam nila na roommates kayo it has been a trending topic every time na may games kayo.  And that is the second reason why, some bashers are criticizing the university na parang hinahayaan daw namin ang live in despite it being a Catholic institution."
