(Narrator POV)
They'd made it to the half way point after many hours of walking. It was now dark out and very cold. They lit a fire, and set up tents behind some trees. The wind had really picked up, so they were lucky to have some woods right there to help block the vicious breeze.

Everyone was huddled around the fire. It was a pretty tight fit and most friends were practically on top of each other, but if they set more then one fire it was far more great of a chance for someone who lives at the top to notice.

They snacked on the food that they'd all packed and drank some of their waters.

They were planning on moving at sunrise, but nobody wanted to. Even though they had good clothes, the wind and snow had quickly made that pointless. They could have all the coats in the world, but this brutal weather couldn't care less.

"Now you all see why I hate visiting Ice Nation." Murphy chattered. He loved all weather, but this wind was making him hate everything that lays underneath the sun, even more then he already did. "The wind and the people." He snickered. He always thought that he was a jerk, but then he met people from Azgeda and he realized, hey maybe he's not so mean after all.

Everyone eventually decided to go to sleep after they told some scary stories. The stories were more funny then anything, especially since people couldn't get their teeth to stop clacking long enough to form coherent sentences.

By morning everyone felt like they had frostbite, but indeed none of them did. They started walking again and after awhile Raven moved from her place next to Murphy to talk to Finn. She wanted to know if he was dating Luna or not.

She came back over to Murphy about 20 minutes later. She had a big smile on her face that made him smile too.

"Well, I'm guessing from that grin that they're dating?" He chuckled when she nodded quickly.

"They're cute together, don't you think? Like they both love peace and harmony, y'know?" She was super happy for them. Her and Finn used to be in love, but she was nothing like him. Sometimes opposites attract, other times not so much.

He nodded. "Yeah, they're a good match. I think peace is overrated. It's the fighters that survive." (A/N another quote! Yay.) He didn't really think that peace was necessary. If you can fight through something then that just makes you stronger.

She looked at him with wide eyes. "I agree! I thought if I said that to someone then they'd think I was like a psycho or something." She chuckled. It kind of freaked her out sometimes how similar they were.

He laughed. "Yeah, but luckily most people already think that I'm insane." Truthfully, he thought that he was insane too, but he was a creature of circumstance most of the time. Maybe if this world wasn't so psychotic, he wouldn't have to be a little bit off of his rocker sometimes.

"I don't think you're insane, maybe a little crazy." She snickered when he gasped and pretended to be insulted.

"I'm wounded! You have hurt me!" He couldn't help but laugh with her after his little display. They had been joking this entire trip and it really helped pass the time.

As everyone kept walking a sudden rumbling was heard. Murphy froze so everyone else also stopped. He suddenly grabbed Raven's hand and ran in the opposite direction of the mountain because the end of the mountain was still a ways away, but the pine woods next to it were rather close.

"There's an avalanche coming so freaking run!" They all followed frantically as snow started to rush after them.

They weren't fast enough though. The snow collapsed over them, and buried them all. It was eerily silent for roughly a minute. Eventually, scraping was heard and Murphy jumped out in the form of a giant polar bear.

Polar bears have a great sense of smell and can smell a seal underneath 3 feet of ice. Plus, with his heightened senses it made it loads easier to find people.

He bounded up to where he could smell Raven and Bellamy and dug down until he saw the signature brown ponytail and his spare black jacket that she was still wearing over her normal red one, and grey spare. He pulled her up by the neck of his jacket, and once she was on top of the snow he made sure that she was breathing, which she was. She was just knocked out from a rock that hit her in the head, she was only bleeding slightly. Nothing too serious.

He moved her a safe distance from the hole and pulled out Bellamy, who was awake so once he was out of the snow a bit he started crawling out.

Eventually, Murphy got everyone out and made sure that Raven's head was okay and had stopped bleeding. She still hadn't woken up so he turned back into a polar bear and had Bellamy set her on his back as they kept walking through the now much deeper snow.

As a polar bear he was 7 feet tall and 4 feet wide. So carrying Raven was a piece of cake. Plus, with that extra fur, the wind wasn't all that bad. This is how he normally went through Ice Nation, but he couldn't talk as an animal, at least not very coherently and he liked talking to Raven so he stayed human.

(Raven POV)
When I woke up all I saw was the cloudy sky and snow falling down. I'm laying on my back, but I feel like I'm moving.

I feel around whatever it is that I'm on. I feel fur underneath my hands, it's super warm and amazingly soft. I look around and see that I appear to be about 7 feet above the ground.

"Hey, what's happening?" I ask when I see Finn walking next to me. He looks up at me and grins a smidge.

"Hey! You're awake! Well, there was an avalanche and you got knocked out. We were all buried and Murphy dug us out. He saved you first." He chuckled at the last part. He pointed to underneath me. "He stayed as a polar bear so that he could carry you."

I look under me. "Oh, thanks Murphy. You can turn back now if you want." He did so and made sure that I didn't fall when I hit the ground. We started walking next to each other again.

"No problem. I didn't mind carrying you." He's honestly so nice when you get to know him, but since he's a jerk to most people at first most people don't get to know him.

(Narrator POV)
Somehow, nobody died during the avalanche and everyone was fine. They were a mere few hours from the Lake people, but they decided to set up a camp since everyone was super tired. The weather was monumentally better then it was the night before.

They put up tents and started a fire. They were all exhausted so they were planning on just going straight to sleep.

In the morning they'd make it the rest of the way and probably have some fun. They didn't realize how much longer they'd be having to travel, but that was a problem for the future. For now they focused on the snow and mountains.

This was going to be one long trip.

A/N Sup, I don't have any idea what I want to say.
