(Narrator POV)
"The fight has been won by the Survivor! Also known as John Murphy of the Sky People! No war, we are at peace. To quarrel with the Survivor is to condemn yourself to death." The announcer shouted over the mic.

Murphy stood and pulled his swords out of Roan's chest and got his mask so he could begin to walk/limp back to his side of the arena. His leg was starting to hurt more and more and he knew that it would be awhile before walking didn't suck anymore.

He got to his side and was greeted by the old Queens advisor, Crystal. She was now technically Queen.

"I am here to congratulate you and say that I have no issues with the Sky people. I will not be declaring war today." She smiled and patted his back before leaving to give the Sky people time with him.

Only Raven came in first. She rushed in and hugged him tightly and Murphy could tell that she had had tears in her eyes or maybe even cried a bit.

"Hey, I'm okay." He whispered carefully, but her only reply was to give him a kiss before sitting him down in a chair and calling in Clarke and Bellamy. Clarke for medical reasons and Bellamy because he had asked to see Murphy.

The second Bellamy walked in, Murphy spoke. "Still alive." He sounded like he was joking, but there was a tinge if seriousness, almost like he knew that Bellamy would need more reassurance than just seeing Murphy alive. After all, hallucinations were not uncommon in their lives.

A few hours passed after that, Murphy had put on his own bandage because there was no way he was letting Clarke touch his thigh. Too close for comfort, thank you very much.

A big feast was thrown after the battle and Murphy was kind of forced to go even though his leg was burning like Hades fire. Many people were congratulating him but he kept blaming his win on his insane survival complex. Not many people seemed to care about the fact that he was a Sky person which was pretty nice.

Around sunset, an old woman approached Murphy and began to speak of something that had always been a dream to Murphy.

Immortality.

Now yes, Murphy sometimes hated life and yes, sometimes he seemed a bit suicidal or just had no care for life at all ,but he had always wanted to be immortal. He wouldn't even need a survival complex anymore.

Apparently, in the Survivor legend, he or she proves themselves and then earn the right to be immortal and make whoever they please immortal as well. The one problem was that he'd have to give up some of his powers.

He took the deal. After speaking with Raven a bit about it, he didn't really care that he had to lose some powers. It also occurred to him that Raven would be getting powers as soon as she felt like she was ready and he gave her the shot.

He ended up keeping shape shifting, fire, agility and super senses. The last two were freebies plus the one where he can make people and animals immortal and can make people mortal again.

He of course made Raven and Aspen immortal, along with Bellamy, Echo, Octavia, Lincoln, Jasper, Maia, Monty, Harper, Finn, Luna, Clarke, Lexa, and a few others.

Basically, they could no longer die of natural causes or old age, they would stop aging at 25, they could be killed but it was nearly impossible, and their kids would also be immortal.

The rest of the night went on as usual and they tried not to think about it too much. Mainly because it was creepy and sort of made them uncomfortable, but they also weren't 100% sure it was even true.

They felt different, but that could always be a placebo effect. They felt happier, healthier and fresher than ever before, but it was hard to believe that they could really live forever.

It had also been decided that Murphy would go back to the dropship to oversee the ark coming down and too speak to the chancellor. He would help them build up Arkadia and then he would get ready to head out.

The only question remaining was if Raven was joining him or not.

She was stood on a balcony in the building they were staying at for the night. In the morning they were all heading for Arkadia to make the much needed changes.

When she heard a knock, she hollered that the person could come in since she figured it was Murphy anyways.

He walked up beside her and put his hands on the rail just like she had hers. They were looking out at the snowy terrain, both with similar thoughts running through their heads.

Finally, Murphy broke the comfortable silence. "Will you come with me when i leave Arkadia?" He asked as it began to snow lightly. He didn't want to pull her away from her people, but he needed to ask.

"Yes." She replied a few seconds later and her speed sort of shocked him. That was a big decision and although he was sure that she'd thought of it before, him asking made it so much more real than one of those scenarios you imagine but never think will come true.

"Are you sure? I can be a real pain." He chuckled as he turned to face her, causing her to turn too with a small smile. He took her hands gently and held them between the two of them.

"Yes, I'm positive and you're really not much of a pain." She smiled and kissed his cheek.

Maybe some people could hate Murphy, maybe they could beat him, bash him, and hang him from a tree, but she couldn't hate him even if she tried. Something about being around him made her feel complete. Of course, legend would say that they're soulmates and literally made to be perfect together. Sometimes legends are true and this was one of those times.

The next morning, they said goodbye to the grounders and started walking again, even though it was more of a mosey thanks to Murphy's injury. Soon enough they were in the woods and approaching their destination.

"I feel like we've all hit our peak. It doesn't get better than this, it's all down hill." Monty chuckled from the front of the group.

Murphy replied with a simple "nah." And everyone thought he was done, but then he continued with some revolutionary-sounding words.

"Like a Phoenix from the ashes, we only rise."

A/N I hope you enjoyed. Sorry, it's so short because it's basically a filler chapter to get some of the more boring stuff out of the way.

Thank you so much and keep reading!
