Peter is not Spider-Man
Tony was walking through the streets of Queens when he felt someone bump into him. He looked down and saw a kid who was wearing raggedy clothes and was dusted with dirt.
"I'm so sorry sir. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going," he continued to ramble, not looking at Tony yet.
"It's fine kid. I wasn't paying attention either." The kid finally looked up at Tony and gasped as his eyes widened.
"You're Tony Stark. It's nice to meet you. Again, I'm really sorry, but I have to go. Goodbye!" He ran off again, leaving Tony confused. He continued walking when a man in a suit walked up to him.
"Hello, Mr.Stark. I'm sorry to bother you, but have you seen a kid walk by? He's about 5'8'', brown hair, fifteen but looks younger." Tony sighed softly. He didn't want to, but he felt the kid could be safer if he went wherever this person would take him than on the streets of Queens.
"If I say I saw this kid, and you find him, will he be safe?" The man gave a kind smile.
"Yes. Mr.Parker will be taken care of. He's heading to the orphanage of Queens." Tony nods his head and sighs again.
"He went that way. I don't know anything else." The man smiles again.
               "Thank you Mr.Stark."

Tony was sitting awake in his bed at three in the morning. His mind was racing and he couldn't get it to slow down.
"What are you thinking about Tony?" Pepper asked from her side of the bed as she sat up. Tony rubbed his eyes and let out another sigh.
"Nothing you need to worry about. Go back to sleep."
"You're thinking too loud for me to sleep." Tony let out a soft chuckle before he fell into his thoughts again.
"What's really bothering you Tony?" Tony sighs again before turning to look Pepper in the eye.
"There was this kid on the street running from someone who was trying to take him to an orphanage. I don't know why but I'm worried about the kid." Pepper gives him a soft smile as something shines in her eyes.
"Did they tell you where he was going? Or even his name."
"The person trying to find him called him Mr.Parker. And he said he was going to the orphanage of Queens."
"Well, if you want to, we can go see him tomorrow. We can talk to him. We've been thinking about getting a kid anyway."
—time skip—
As soon as they walk in the building, all the people in the main room gasp. The two walk up to the desk and give the lady a kind smile.
"Hi. We were just wondering if there was a Mr.Parker here." The lady shakes out of her shock before nodding her head.
"Yes. Mr.Parker arrived yesterday. He's been hiding in his room since then. If you want to see him, his room is at the end of the hall upstairs on the left." Tony and Pepper give the girl thankful smile and made their way to the room. Once they got there, they knocked on the door softly.
               "Who is it?"
"Tony Stark and Pepper Potts," Tony said with a smirk as Pepper slapped his arm softly. There was a bang and then soft cursing before the door opened. They smiled at the kid as he stared in shock.
"What- what are you guys doing here?"
"We wanted to check on you and talk to you for a while." He nodded his head slowly and opened the door wider so the two could walk in. Pepper sat on the bed with the kid as Tony sat in his desk chair.
               "So, what's your name?"
               "Um, Peter."
"Well it's nice to meet you Peter. What do you like to do for fun?" Pepper asked as Tony began to look at the papers on the kids desk.
"I don't know. I'm not very interesting." Pepper was about to argue when Tony turned to them holding up a few of Peters papers.
"Did you make these?" Peter nods as he looks at the floor. "Kid, these are amazing. Have you actually built any of these?"
"No. I don't really have any of the materials needed for those. I did make the web fluid though. I used all the stuff we have at school." He opened a drawer in his desk and grabbed a clear cup.
"It's very strong. It can be used as a glue like substance or a bandage. It's not that good. It could be stronger." Tony just looked at the kid with wide eyes before he turns to Pepper. She has a knowing look in her eyes and she gives Tony a small nod.
"I'll be right back. You two keep talking." Pepper walked out and Tony told Peter to tell him about all the things he's worked on. So, he does. They also talk about his school and his friends. He talks about Ned, Mj and Wade. Tony noticed his voice had a different tone when he mentioned Wade. He asked about it and Peter just blushed and changed the subject. A few minutes later, pepper walks in with the lady who was working at the front desk. Peter looks at them in confusion. Pepper gives Tony one last questioning look and he nods happily.
"Hey Pete, I have a question for you." Peter nods his head warily and Pepper sits next to him again.
"Tony and I wanted to know if you would like to come live with us. I know you don't know us that well, but you'll be able to get to know us as we work through the process. So, what do you say?" Peter looks between the two in shock and disbelief. Tony puts a hand on his shoulder and gives him a reassuring smile. Peter looks back at Pepper and he can see the hope in her eyes. His smile slowly grows and he nods excitedly. Peppers smile grows as well and she pulls the kid into a hug. Tony smiles and nods to the lady as she leaves.
