I always wonder who lived in that big mansion, well looks more like a castle, a creepy one too. Needs a little color maybe white or brown. Whoa, what am I thinking? But anyways it's not just me, everyone curious about who lives in the mansion on top of the hill. It's on a mountain hill. You have to walk up some stairs to reach the gate, you can't go far since it's lock, but you can see more stairs going up to the main door. The front yard is all dead and creepy. This whole place was scary. There is a way for cars to go, but its same as the stairs. Anyways I'm Elise Peterson; I'm 17 I'm starting my senior year. And if I stand here just staring up at the creepy mansion, I'll be late for my first day. I looked one more time and walked away. Well, I stopped since I swear I saw movement by the window. I shrug it off; maybe it was my imagination. I walked away this time without stopping. The bell will ring in about 30 minutes. I ran holding my skirt down, this was ridiculous, the school at the last minute decided that students should wear a uniform. Everyone was upset, but what can we do. I arrive just three minutes before the bell rang. I went to my locker grabbed books that I needed. The hallways where crowded. I made my way down the hall and into science class, with Miss. Jefferson, she was a weird teacher who had pictures of dogs all over her wall. Well not all over, but in some places. I sat down at the very end by a window. Hopefully, there aren't any assign seats. I looked out the window from here I could see the mansion. Well, you can see from everywhere. Soon the classroom was crowded with students. I sat there ignoring them all. Soon the Miss. Jefferson arrives and orders the students to sit anywhere they want.
"Alright students you are now seniors, and I want you to act like one, show the lower classes how well behave you all are," she said. "You're all now young adults, so behave, though I doubt you will act your age." After a long lecture on what we were doing this year. She gave us free time to get to know our classmates. I stayed sitting reading a book. But I couldn't concentrate with all this chatting. If you haven't noticed, I'm lonely and have no friends what so ever. But I like it like this; it's quiet, peaceful, and drama free.
"Hey loser," I looked up.
"Hi, Natalie." Why must she and her goons have to bother me? And on the first day of school too.
"So we decided to let you in on our little group," she said. "But."
There was always something. Wait, did they said they were going to let me in on their group. Like I would. It would be a nice.
"But we need you to pass our little exam," she said. "A dare."
It's always the same with this girls. "No," I said.
"Yes, we dare you to go and knock on the mansion," she said. "If you do will let you in, or you don't want then we won't bother you this whole year."
Being at peace without them continually harassing me will be nice. There was a time when Natalie put pain in my shoes.
And they stuck my shirt onto my locker, with superglue. There are so many things they did to me.
I was debating on that offer. If I do it, I'll be free from the harassment I chewed on my nail.
"Alright, I'll do it," Why did I say that? I meant to say no. I am going to die.
"Deal will meet you after school by the front gate of the mansion," she said.
"Wait today, can't we do it some other time?" I said.
"Today," she said. "Got a problem with it."
"No of course not," the mess I got myself into, I am stupid?
So after school, I was hoping they'll ditch. But they didn't they were standing in front of the gate. I looked up at the mansion. Dear lord, it looked freaky with all that thunder around it.
