Not sure if I should ask her or not. I mean I was afraid of what her answer will be. It isn't easy for me to ask a girl out. One that I barely know, well I feel like I know her for years now. But don't want her to get hurt. Of her me, either way, I must take a risk.
"She's asleep still?" I asked Dulce.
"Yup I guess the ride here was long for her," she said.
"Okay," I smiled. Dulce walked away. I went inside the room. Elise was fast asleep holding a pillow. She looked so, peaceful.
"Stop staring at me," crap I didn't notice she was awake.
"Sorry," I sat down, while she sat up.
She looked at me. Then she grabbed her stomach. "Hungry," she jumped off the bed. I follow her.
"The water is so, fresh," Rick said as he walked in smiling. "Oh, food."
He grabbed a piece of carrot that Elise was chopping. I shook my head. Helping Elise cook was excellent; I learned a few things. One, do not touch the stove while it's hot.
"You dummy," Elise said bandaging my hand. I'll heal soon, but she doesn't know that. "What are you smirking for?"
"Nothing," I said.
During dinner, Rick kept in talking and talking. His a parrot. One that won't shut up. Thankfully bedtime came, and I didn't have to worry about it. But I felt lonely; I can't just go and sneak into Elise room. She was sharing with Dulce. I got up and sneaked out to the patio. Needed some fresh air. But what I found was surprising.
"I knew there was something odd about you," Shawn turned around to look at me.
"Don't tell anyone, nor-wait how did you know I was different?" He stood.
"Ah," my eyes turning red.
He backed away. "Demon," he grin.
"And your a warlock," I said.
"Yup, been alive longer then you I think," Shawn said.
"I guess you have been alive longer then me," I said sitting down. "Relax I won't give you up."
"Same," he sat down.
"Elise knows about me so that you know," I said.
"You let her find out?" He looked at me like I was nuts.
"Yeah, she took it well, and my family loves her," I chuckled.
"I see," he smiled."Lucky you, I can't ever tell my love."
"Rick?" I laughed.
"What, no not him," he said."Dulce."
"Oh," never knew he liked her. No wonder he always kept his distance from her. Well, he tries."She's so innocent though and shy."
"I know, but she attracts me," he sighed."If I tell her what I am, she'll be afraid and call me crazy."
"You'll never know if you don't take the risk," like me. Taking the risk of telling Elise, even though I know her for such a small amount of time. But I trust her more than anyone else.
"I guess your right," he chuckled. "Haven't even told Dulce I like her."
"Yeah you should start with that first," I said standing up, and I head back inside. "Your secret safe with me, as mine is with you."
Didn't give him time to answer he was already walking inside. "Holy cow," Elise squealed. "What is wrong with you, you can't just walk in like that?" She said kneeling to pick up the broken glass.
"Well sorry didn't know you where up," I chuckled. "Nice pajamas by the way."
She was wearing a shirt that was big on her and loosely, and she had on some shorts. Way to short for my liking. But looked good on her with her lovely legs and-
I need to stop thinking about her like that. "Ouch," my thoughts were broken from her smell. The smell of metallic. Blood.
"Let me see," I grabbed her hand. It was a small cut, nothing bad. "Clumsy," turning on the water, I put her hand under it, washing the blood away. I looked in the cabinet for the aid kit. "Here." Taking a bandage, I unwrapped it and placed it on her cut.
"Thanks," she smiled.
For some odd reason, I wanted to hug her and protect her. Mostly I want to- there I go again with my thoughts.
"You okay?" I felt her hand on my cheek. I nodded grabbing her hand and kissed her palm. I couldn't hold back and kissed her. Her lips were soft, like last time.
Last time it was a simple, intense kiss. But this time it was more than passionate. I licked Elise lips for entrance; she gladly let me. For a first time kisser, well the second time. She learns fast. Our tongues tangle around, while I backed her up to the counter. I so didn't want to stop kissing her, but I had to let her breathe. The way she was gripping my shirt told me she needed to breath in some air. Pulling apart, I held her still. She had her eyes closed and rested her forehead against my chest. Trying to catch her breath. I felt her body slowly relax.
"We can't keep kissing like that," she said looking up at me. "I mean we aren't...well you know...together."
"I thought we where" I chuckled and Elise glared. "Alright, will you Elise Peterson be my wife?"
She choked on the water she was drinking. "Shit, I was kidding," I patted her back. "I meant girlfriend."
"Not....funny," she said in between breaths. I smirked. She slapped my chest.
"Well?" I was waiting for her to answer me.
She shrugged and walked away from me. Wait, what? I followed behind; I didn't let her go into her room. More like drag her into mine and closing it.
"Hey," she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Give me an answer," I said.
"Nope not yet," she went to walked pass me, but I stopped her.
"At least stay here, I feel lonely," I did feel lonely.
Elise was in deep thoughts, she sighed.
"Okay," I smiled and climbed into bed. Elise followed and laid next to me. Think I'll like this trip. "Night." I pulled her close; she didn't protest. Kissing her head, I closed my eyes.
Now I didn't feel so, lonely.
