Elise is such a nerd but a lovely one. She loves reading; it's what I found out about her. The few days we spend together. She plans on reading each book I own. It's funny, by the time she finishes, she'll be old and I still young. The thought of her being old is horrible. She doesn't know what I am.
How will she react if she finds out what I am?
"Son why so pensive?" I stood up and looked in the mirror.
"Mother," I smiled.
"How's school?" She asked.
"It's going alright," I said.
"Made any friends?" She smiled.
"One, I think I have," is Elise, my friend?
"Oh, who is it a girl or boy come on I want details," I chuckled.
"It's a girl, her name Elise," I said smiling.
"Oh, a girl," she smiled brightly. "Is she pretty, smart, tall hmm come om sweetie details?"
I laughed. "Elise is short, the top of her head only reaches half my shoulders," I smiled. "She's pretty, has green eyes."
"Oh, I detective a small crush," mother sang. I looked at her.
"No," I said.
"I'm your mother; I know when my kids fall in love," she said.
I don't like Elsie that way. She's just a friend. Nothing more, besides where two different worlds.
"Anyways, I won't bug you about it," she said. "We planned for you to visit us during winter break.
"Oh," I smiled."I can come home for winter break?"
"Yes Luke," she smiled. "We don't want you to be alone, and you are bringing George too."
"Okay," I'll be able to go home. The place where I can be free and do what I want.
"Now I'll let you sleep," I nodded and said goodnight.
I laid there. Couldn't sleep like always. So I went out for a bit. Maybe I'll sneak around Elise home again. See what she was up to when I landed by her window. It was open; I peek she's on the floor cross leg with books and notebooks.
And that cat was by her. It was hissing already, yeesh. Elise looked up from her books only to pet the cat. The cat was now up and walking towards the window. I tucked in my wings. Maybe I should let her see me. She wasn't paying attention, guess she, assume the cat wanted out. I leaned against the window ledge. She so distracted by her books, she doesn't even know when someone could sneak up on her. I knelt down and picked up a small pebble and held it. I looked at her she still hasn't noticed I'm here. I threw it at her; I meant it to land on her book. But it bounced off her head.
"Ow," she dropped her pencil and rubbed the spot where the pebble hit her. She picked it up and looked around until her eyes landed on me. I waved, her eyes went wide. "What are you standing out there like a creeper."
"Came to visit you," I said.
"At this hour," she stood and came to be handing the pebble. "A nice cough or a hello would be fine to get my attention."
"Sorry," I smirked.
"Now you see me, now you can leave," she turned around. I sighed and climbed in. "Hey whoa no out."
"Nope," I walked around her room. So bright and girly. "You need some dark colors."
"No thank you," she swapped my hand away from her drawer. "Prefer some color."
She shook her head.
"Ah," something caught her attention. She had a frowned.
"You'll get wrinkles if you keep frowning," I chuckled. Elise walked over to me and touched my chest. "You could've had just ask."
"What no," she said. "Your tattoos."
Oh crap.
"What about them?" I asked. Maybe I should come clean.
"I seem them before," she traced the swirls on my arm and the one doing down my stomach.
"Whoa," I took her hands. "Don't think you want to go there unless you want to," I smirked.
"What eww no," she blushed.
I sighed.
"Yeah, you have seen them before," I said. I'm coming clean. "I was um, that peeping tom."
At first, she's just stood there not saying a word. Then she reacted by tackling me down and hitting me. Not too hard, so she'll won't strain her hand again.
"You perverted," she said. I chuckled. I grabbed her and flipped her over. "Get off."
I looked down at her and stared into her eyes. Eyes that lately have been in my dreams. Even when I'm awake she's just beautiful, something in me flipped. Leaning down lower, I could feel her heart beat fast, and her breathing become heavy. I leaned down more, close enough that the tip of our noses touched, and my lips were almost touching hers. I can't do it; Luke, don't do it you'll get hurt again. But she's different and human. I haven't noticed I had let go of her hands when I felt them on my chest. The mere touch made my back itch. I could feel them slowly come out. I can't let her see them. Not yet nor ever. Shell freak and she'll hate me. Worse she'll be afraid of me. And I won't be able to stand it. I closed my eyes trying to calm down. Shouldn't have come here.
"Oh," she gasped. I hadn't noticed I was fully on her, holding her around her waist. Felt her arms go around me. Not sure why, but her touch calm me. "You want to go to movies the weekend, or the mall."
"Sure," I simply said not looking up at her. I had my head rested on her chest, listening to her heartbeat. "Sorry I was peeping on you I was just, curious."
"It's alright," she said. Her hand rubbed my back. And around my shoulders blade. "Your blades feel strange." If you only knew. Maybe I'll tell her.
Hopefully, Elise won't give me up. But I'll tell her this weekend.
"So, tomorrow?" She said.
"Tomorrow what?" I kept listening to her heart.
"Want to go to the movies?" She chuckled. "Tomorrow is the weekend."
"ARe you asking me out?" I said. "Shouldn't I be the on to ask?"
"Yes or no?" Elise glared.
"Yes," I said. "I'll go." She smiled.
"Elise?" We heard a knock and quickly got up.
"Crap," Elise pushed me towards the window. "Out, out."
I chuckled. "Alright," I climbed out. "See you tomorrow."
She nodded and turned to the door.
Then she looked back trying to find me. But I was gone. I could see her looking out, then she gave up and closed the window.
Once I was in my room, I laid down on my bed. What was I about to do? Was I about to kiss her? I swear something is wrong with me. How could I even be close to kissing someone I barely knew.
What was happening to me?
