I'm a fucking idiot! I fucked up with Kitty, probably scared her, then I punched my best mate, and now I'm lost!
Sending me out for a walk was a good idea at first. It did help me clear my mind. But I went too far and now I can't find the fucking camp anymore! And of course there's no signal...!
There are cracks and spooky noises all around me and to be honest, I'm a bit scared...
-- Kitty, I scream, Tom! Where are you?
I hear the sound of water running. I must have reached the river. Which mean I can walk alongside it until I find the bridge and the trail. But which side should I go?
I'm about to take right when I hear what I think is Kitty's voice.
-- Over here, I yell.
-- Harry?!
-- Yeah!
I turn in the direction of the voice and almost run towards it. Until I can hear them both.
-- That bloody phone doesn't light anything, she's saying.
-- Yeah well, it's better than nothing, replies Tom.
-- I can't believe we forgot the flashli-Ah!! There's something in my hair!
I see them just at this moment. She's clinging at his left arm, her face buried on his shoulder as he removes something from her disheveled braid. I can't help but feel jealousy bursting up in my chest again. They are so close! She never stays that close to him!
-- Jeez Amy! It's just a leaf, he says and she slowly moves away.
-- How would I know?!
Then she sees me and the relief that lighten her face makes me forget about what just happened. She fling herself at my neck with a "Oh Harry!" and she hugs me tight.
-- You were not coming back, I was so worried, she whispers.
-- Well, you did told me to get lost, I smirk hugging her back. I'm sorry, I add more seriously. About everything...
She looks up at me and something in her eyes makes me shiver. I'm a fucking idiot to think that she might love Tom over me. I know her better than that. She pulls me into a kiss and I feel the last bits of jealousy washing away.
When we part, I glance at Tom. A bruise is already starting to color his face. Shit, I really hit him hard! I give him an apologetic smile and he nods.
-- I hope your hand is hurting like hell, he smirks.
This actually makes me laugh cause it does hurt!
-- Let's go back to the camp, Kitty says.
She picks up something on the ground. A ball of pink wool?!
-- What is that, I ask.
-- That's my Ariane's thread. Because I knew one of you might go a bit to adventurous and lose himself, so I took precautions!
I look at her in disbelieve.
-- But I must say I though Tom would be the one wandering too far.
I flinch. Did she just called him Tom?! By the look on Tom's face, I think he heard that too.
-- It's no big deal, she says and I'm not sure what she's talking about. Come on, let's go.
We follow Kitty to the camp in silence. I suddenly feel really sleepy and all I can think about his lying down in the tent. Which is probably why I woke in the morning with my clothes still on...and a hell of a headache!
I shift but I'm actually stuck between Kitty and Tom so I can barely move. I hear Tom groaning next to me and Kitty yawns loudly.
The sun must be blazing cause it's so hot in the tent. Kitty sits up first, rubbing her eyes and when she opens the entrance's zip we all grunt. The light is too bright!
Tom goes out next, mumbling about needing to pee. I want to sleep more but it's really too hot inside so I eventually join them too. I watch them for a moment as Kitty checks out Tom's bruised face. I'm still a bit light headed and some parts of what happened last night are blurry. But something made Kitty change her ways around him, that's for sure and...well I don't know how I feel about that.
