I understood why my throat was getting dry...

I was catching a cold.

When I woke up this morning, I felt like shit.

My body was aching so bad, my head blocked, my nose clogged, and my will to live close to non-existent.

There was no way I could go to work.

I mean, work? I couldn't even walk from my bedroom to the kitchen.

That's why, I was going to lay in my bed, making a small cocoon for myself for the whole day no matter what anyone says. Today was the only festival free day of the week, so might as well rest while I could.

My phone buzzed while I was watching a drama with my notebook and I picked it up while sniffling.

Hobi-scotch☀️: What happened to you? Your children are being messy here

Me: I'm dying. Come to my funeral with ice cream instead of flowers, okay?

He became silent for a while, so I just threw my phone away and continued the movie.

It buzzed again a few minutes later and I took it while groaning.

Hobi-scotch☀️: So the human resources manager explained your situation to your class and appointed me to your class today...

Hobi-scotch☀️: Nain whyyy 🥺

Hobi-scotch☀️: I was going to lay low for today and now I have TWO classes to worry about...

Me: Sorry, Hobi... I guess I owe you one now

Hobi-scotch☀️: You bet you do 😤

Hobi-scotch☀️: Anyways, get better soon, Nainnn 😭

Me: Thx

Putting my phone away, I slumped back against my headboard and continued watching my drama in peace.

I clenched the covers when my phone started ringing now.

Yelling in frustration, I reached it and accepted the call to exclaim, "What?!"

"Nain, you scared me," Jungkook stammered before chuckling nervously. "You sound horrible."

I didn't need him to tell me that.

"Yeah, I'm dying, so if you don't have anything important to tell me, I'm hanging up."

"Wait," he quickly exclaimed. "I wanted to ask you if you needed anything for me to bring you."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "What?"

"I'm coming to visit you now. When I went to your classroom, Hoseok hyung told me you were sick."

"Oh no no no," I blurted. "Don't come. I'm fine."

"Really?" He giggled. "Just now, you said you were dying."

I groaned. "Whatever. You shouldn't leave your children, Mr. Jeon."
