The next day, I woke up with a light headache and recalled what I did last night. I scolded myself for it but I didn't regret it.

When I saw Jungkook in the restaurant for breakfast, he waved at me with a grin and acted more bubbly with me.

I, on the other hand, was a stuttering mess.

I had to act like I didn't go ahead and try to kiss him without his consent. The others, especially Yoongi was giving me a barely noticeable smirk during the breakfast the whole time, and I was having a hard time.

In fact, my cheeks were burning the whole day from Jungkook's confession replaying in my head over and over again.

"Jisoo, she's giggling to herself again," Joy sang while we were packing our stuff.

My smile dropped instantly and I looked at the two with a surprised expression. "No, I wasn't."

"Mhmm." Jisoo wasn't even trying to hide her huge smirk.

They didn't pressure me into telling them what happened yesterday and I was thankful for that. I didn't know where they were yesterday night, but they were back in the room in their beds when I woke up this morning.

After packing, everyone gathered together to get on the buses to head back home after a relaxing vacation. Relaxing, they said...

I tapped on Joy's shoulder as we all stood there and the girl turned around with a questioning smile.

"Can we sit together?"

She raised an eyebrow, still smiling. "Why?"

Because I couldn't face Jungkook yet, of course...

"What do you mean why?" I frowned. "Just wanted to..."

"Sorry, Jungkook actually asked me to sit beside him."

I froze.

"Come again?"

"Yeah, I don't know why, but it seemed like he had something to tell me...?" She answered unsure, shrugging.

Something to tell?

I searched the crowd for Jungkook and found him talking to the principal, laughing and nodding to his words.

"Don't worry, Nain." Joy's words grabbed my attention and I turned back to her smiling softly at me. "You know I'm interested in Sungjae now."

Yeah...

"Say, what happened between you two after the game?"

She heaved a sigh and pouted. "When I tried approaching him again, he was just being nice... I think my chance with him is close to none now."

"Oh..."

"I know it's not my position to ask, but," she drawled carefully, "how are things with Jaebum? I know you like Jungkook and all, but what about him? I've been quiet on this matter out of respect, but if you don't feel the same as Jaebum, it's better to let him know and keep a distance before anything, you know? It's unfair to him..."

I breathed out a chuckle. "Since you're his bestie, you must be worried, right?"

"Of course... Just like how you would care for Jungkook. You two's situation has made me realize something..."

That raised my eyebrows but I decided not to overstep into her business.

"Well, you know how I've liked Jungkook ever since I was younger and how much I got hurt over my feelings," I whispered, chuckling softly. "I'll be sure to do the right thing, Joy. Trust me."
