"Bald! Bald!"
"My eyes!"
My laughs were muffled by my hand as I watched my munchkins acting out the spongebob movie scenes.
Namseok covered the fake bald sticker on his head with the paper bag and sighed with a very exasperated but sassy expression, and I cackled hard which came out in a very ugly snort. He looked so freaking ridiculous but adorable at the same time.
After hours of practice plays, whines and groans of babies who scolded those who forgot their lines, and my suppressed laughter, we finally concluded that our play was ready and I told them to go to the auditorium to have their seats. I, on the other hand, collected all the big props and prepared to carry them there. If I were to do it alone, I had to go six or seven times.
I heaved a sigh, looking over the round tables, chairs, burger car, doors and so on. My back was aching just by seeing them in front of me.
We better be winning...
I sucked in a breath before lifting one of the tables, but then my phone suddenly rang inside my pocket, making me jolt.
Ring. Ring.
Putting down the table, I took out my phone and I was surprised to see the caller. A smile started spreading on my once exhausted face.
Picking it up, I sang, "Hey there~"
There was a chuckle on the other side of the line. "Am I too late? I'm here outside your kindergarten."
My eyes perked up and I dashed to the main entrance. "Nope. Right on time. I was just going to carry the props to the auditorium."
"Wow. Just right," he chuckled.
I walked outside and a bright smile lit up my face when I saw Jaebum standing there with his phone against his ear and a very adorable grin.
Running towards him, I hugged him before he suddenly lifted me up and spun us around, making me yelp and cry out in surprise.
"It's been a long time," I sighed when he put me down before wrapping his arms around my waist. "How was your trip to Brazil?"
"Not that great since you weren't with me," he said ever so shamelessly and I slapped his shoulder.
"Oh my god," I playfully exclaimed, cringing internally, and tried to get away but his darned strong hands kept me in place to tease me. "What's me being there have to do with anything? Is it me or did you get more cringe after you left?"
"You can't escape from me and my cringeworthy words," he chuckled, giving me a weird smirk and I couldn't help but cackle.
Ring. Ring.
He finally let me go and I took out my phone before picking it up.
"Yes?"
"Nain, where are you? Your props aren't here," Hoseok scolded me through the line and the chattering cacophonous sound of children was almost louder than him. "You do know that your class is the second play, right?"
"Yeah, I know. I was just meeting Jaebum outside." I gestured the said man to follow me inside and we both walked into the building.
"Oh... He came back from his trip?" His voice was almost inaudible.
"Yep," I chimed while passing through the hallway. "I was worried about carrying the props by myself but now. Now, I feel so happy."
A chuckle sounded beside me.
