"Morning, Nain!"
I shut my eyes before covering my ears.
"Please don't yell, Jisoo. I'm having a really bad hangover right now."
We walked together through the hallway to our respective classes. My head was pounding way too hard and her boots clicking against the floor was making it even worse.
Just how much did I drink yesterday without even remembering I had work the next day? All because I was way too hyped when I saw Jungkook.
When I woke up in my room this morning, I figured that one of them escorted me to my home yesterday, but I just couldn't bring myself to recall anything. I must have been pissed drunk.
"You look like shit though, Nain," Jisoo started laughing. "Drinking when you have work the next day... such a responsible adult."
"Pfft. Don't act like you didn't down several glasses of beer yourself yesterday. If I didn't know you, I would have thought that you were an alcoholic."
"Well, at least I don't look like a zombie today," she snorted. "You need a concealer? You have dark circles."
"No need. Let them know how stressed I am."
She walked up the stairs to the second floor after waving at me, and I kept walking until I reached my classroom.
"Nain!"
I heard someone run behind me and I turned around to see Jungkook catching up to me with a huge smile on his face.
"Hey, Kookie. It's your first day today, right?"
He suddenly brought his hands over my head to brush my messy hair. His touch was so soft and warm, my eyes closed on their own, feeling drowsy and relaxed.
He chuckled softly. My mind was pacified by his soft sound. Everything he did seemed soothing.
"Are you sleepy?" He murmured, his voice sounding low.
I hummed, leaning into his touch. My head started swaying back and forth as sleep was starting to take over me.
"Nain, you have a class now, don't give in to the sleep," a small voice in my head squeaked.
Jungkook gently pulled me towards himself, placed my head on his chest, and hugged me around my back before caressing my head.
"You have work now, Nain. So you can stay like this for only a few minutes. Rest while you can."
His voice reverberated in his chest, causing me to feel the vibration and become more sleepy. His heart was beating rhythmically like a relaxing music and I wanted to stay there forever, listening to his soft melody.
This is bad.
"Jungkook," I mumbled, unable to open my eyes. "Please slap me."
He gasped internally. "Never! Why do you want me to slap you?"
"I might go to the place where I can see unicorns and chocolate waterfalls."
He chuckled. "You're so cute."
"Please do it."
He hummed, thinking for a while.
"Actually, I know another way I can wake you up without hurting you."
I was slipping away from reality already. "Okay... Just do anything you can..."
I could feel him lean down towards my face. My heart suddenly started racing from the proximity but I couldn't bring myself to open my eye as I was feeling beyond sleepy.
