"So you told him the truth? And he actually liked another girl while trying to date you?"

I nodded, smiling softly at the two girls before me and took a sip from my tea. Jisoo remained almost expressionless while Joy turned glum.

I didn't tell them who he liked since I thought it was his personal matter and not something I should expose easily. It was a very important concern to him and the least I could do was keep his secret for all the things he did for me.

"So he basically asked you out to forget his crush?" Joy spoke up, giving me a pitiful look. "Don't you at least feel upset?"

"I mean, I do feel upset, but I'm the same, so I really shouldn't be... Logically, I don't. But emotionally, I kind of do." I sluggishly twirled the spaghetti with my fork. "But we weren't dating really, so I'm not bitter. I'm glad that he took it well... I should, too. I decided to root for him since I want him to be happy. And he said that he would root for me, too."

She sighed, facing down at her plate of carbonara.

"Exactly," Jisoo piped, shoving french fries into her mouth. "Now, only if that clueless girl realizes her feelings and properly look at him, everything is gucci."

Her eyes darted to the girl sitting beside her before winking at me, making me freeze with wide eyes.

She knows?

"Well, whoever that girl is, she better go through me," Joy huffed, stabbing a bacon. "I'm not handing him to just anyone."

Jisoo snorted. "Go through you? Are you jealous?"

"Wha-" She gawked at her. "W-Who's jealous?!"

I watched the two girls bicker with each other with a fond smile. So Jisoo knew about it all along, huh? I sort of felt betrayed that she never told me but I figured she thought it was for the best. Otherwise, she — or Joy — would never hide a truth like this from me.

And everything turned out just fine.

"Ay," Hoseok exclaimed as he and the boys sat around our table with their lunches in hand. "How are my girls doing today?"

"I'm not your girl," Jisoo tut-tutted, chuckling. "And Nain definitely isn't your girl."

"Jaebum's?" Hoseok raised an eyebrow at me, looking unimpressed as if it was a topic he always hated discussing.

"Not now not ever," the long haired smug girl sang, leaning back in her chair with an almost unnoticeable smirk as she eyed Jungkook.

The said man choked on his meatball before coughing violently, taking the sudden news with much shock.

"Huh?" The two other men gawked at me at the same time while Jungkook tried not to die because of a meatball on my left.

"Well, you see," I mumbled, shifting in my seat, "he called me to meet up yesterday and, uh, told me that he couldn't keep this up. Things weren't going anywhere anyway... So we agreed to end... whatever it was and are staying as good friends now."

"That easily?" Yoongi frowned at me as if he was suspicious that there was something else that caused this.

Everyone turned to me with expectant eyes but different expressions, and I just shrugged, not wanting to reveal something so sensitive.
