As I'm about to go to sleep, I hear someone knock on the front door. Who the fuck knock on the door at 2 am? I took baseball bat from what Nick called 'Wall of Fame' where he hang and put all kind of things that have been signed by his idols. I know I'm not supposed to take the baseball bat but I don't have any self defense.

I peep through the peep hole on the door. Well to my surprise it's no one other than Edwin and Nick. I quickly unlock the door for them to come in.

"Why do you need me to open the door when you have your own key?!?" I shouted quietly as Edwin walk Nick in to the apartment.

"Shhh, he's drunk." He put Nick down to the couch. "I can't stay long, got to bring my lil siblings to the park tomorrow"

And by that we exchange goodbyes and I close the door. I make my way back to my room, but before I could reach my door Nick calls me.

"A..." or maybe other people whose name started with A. "Adeline..."

"What?" I asked him with my arm crossed on my chest.

"Why do you hate me so much?" Nick slurred.

"I told you to ask your nine years old self." I answered.

"Why are you so closed off?" Now I regretted my decision to respond to his questions. "Can you just forgive me? I'm not that boy anymore."

Silent.

"You should know how hard it is to move on." Hiccups escape his lips after he finished that sentence.

Well, I know a lot about it, you dumbfuck.

"I should've known better that she will never love me back." He said before he finally passed out.

"Goodnight, Nick." I reach my extra blanket that I put on the couch in case Edwin decided to crash. I pull the blanket to cover up all his body. Then, I go back to my bedroom to sleep.

The alarm went off, that annoying sound fills out the room instantly. I try to turn it off but knock it to the ground instead. I pick the clock up and put it back on my bedside table. I look at the time as it shows 11 am.

My stomach suddenly starts an orchestra show as I get up. I walk out of my room, hoping that I can find something to eat in the kitchen. I find a very nice looking bagel on the kitchen aisle. Is it Nick's? I guess I have to just eat cereal then.

There is a note sitting beside it. I pick it up and read the note.

"Thank you, Ads.
Hope you like it.
Also it's free so you better like it.

This is kinda strange, firstly because I know damn too well Edwin's handwriting and this is not his at all. Secondly, he said he is going to spend his Saturday at the park with his family but why was he stopping by?
