37. A Comeback

I woke up to the sound of someone banging on the front door. As I woke up I saw that Eli is nowhere to be found. Did he leave without wearing any shirt? Stupid me, he probably wear his hoodie. I rushed towards the door and opened it. There stood a tired looking Edwin and Zion with a kilowatt smile plastered on his face.

I saw Zion's eyes traveled down to my chest. SHIT, I forgot to put on my bra. I covered my chest with my hands, "Naughty Ads." Zion chuckled.

"Where's everyone?" I asked both of them.

"They're still at the hospital." Edwin said in monotone before throwing himself to the couch. I ran towards the guest bedroom that I stayed at to put on my bra, then run back to the living room.

"Do you guys want anything to eat for breakfast maybe?" I asked them awkwardly.

"No, but I want to know why are you wearing a guy's shirt? I THOUGHT YOU AND NICK ARE FINALLY GETTING ON!" Zion said while throwing his hands at every direction.

"That's why you should've gone to the hospital first and not here, you moron." Edwin shook his head. "I swear to god I'm going to kill that bitch."

"What bitch?" Zion asked in confusion.

"Estelle." Edwin's tone was bitter and cold.

"Oh, that's why last night you asked me who is Estelle to Nick." Zion nodded, trying to understand everything. "Wait, DOES THAT MEAN SHE'S HERE?!? IN LA?!? SHE'S BACK IN THE COUNTRY?!?"

"Yes Kuwonu. And what is this with you not visiting Nick at the hospital first?" I raised my eyebrows at him.

"I did! But the security told us it's not visiting hours yet and I just want to sleep at that moment so when I saw Edwin was about to head back, I decided to go with him." Zion shrugged while explaining his reasons.

"Wait, you told her about Estelle?!" Edwin came into realization which somehow made me wondering why did they keep things about Estelle from me? I saw Zion nodded innocently, "I TOLD YOU NOT TO TELL HER!"

"I'm sorry! But she deserves to know!" Zion shouted in frustration.

"What's wrong with Estelle anyway? Apart from her being a traitor and a basic bitch." I sneered. Edwin just looked at me dead in the eyes and shook his head. "What? I was just stating facts!"

"By the way I think I'm gonna go to the hospital now." Zion said before heading to the front door and opened it, then he just left. I turned my head to Edwin again who's staring blankly to the distance.

I sat down beside him as he said, "He didn't forget about you, Ads." I looked down on my lap and mumbled, "But it felt like he is, Ed."

Silence filled the room.

"What did you do, Ed?" I looked up to him, trying to find the answers to the question that has been on my mind all these time. He covered his face with his palms then he screamed in frustration. "I tried to remind him about you and he said 'stop reminding me of that awful person' which he meant you."

"I'M AWFUL?!? He's the one who made my life miserable! Oh yeah, he doesn't remember that part isn't he?" Sarcasm was evident in my voice. Why does it feel like the world has turned around? I used to hate Nick and now he hates me? How could he? He said himself that he has been in love with me since long ago.

"Maybe I should book a flight back. I can't stand being here anymore, I should probably find a new apartment before he's back." I mumbled before stood up from my seat and head to the guest room.

I opened my laptop and look for the cheapest flight back to New York. Wait, maybe I should just go back to New Jersey for awhile. I think that's better than being in New York alone and sorting these out myself. A list of flight to New Jersey appeared on my screen right away. I clicked on the cheapest one.
