I'm sorry if the chapter kinda suck.
Enjoy!

Days have been passed and today is the day of the first battle. The last few days, I've been ignoring Nick's existence, yup I let myself go back to square one. I didn't want our situation to affect the crew spirits and all, so I decided to still going to participate in the competition even though it means I will be facing Nick again and again. Well even though, I decided to quit I'm still going to meet him every now and then in the apartment.
I know today I have to be at the venue but Ezra and I agreed on doing our project for one of the classes together. That's because I forgot that I have a battle to attend today. So here I am on my way to Ezra's apartment. He said he lives in an average college or uni kids apartment, but this neighborhood I'm going to, is far from the word average. I stopped in front of a pretty tall building that I assume is his apartment building. I asked the front desk which floor is Ezra's apartment.
"Good afternoon, how can I help you?" The man behind the desk smile widely at me.
"Umm, which floor is apartment 20A?" I asked him.
"Oh you mean the penthouse? It's in the twentieth floor." Of course it's in the twentieth— wait did he said penthouse?
"You sure there are no other 20A? I don't think my friend lives in the penthouse." I asked him again, making sure of it.
"No ma'am. Probably there is in another building but in this one, there's no other 20A than the penthouse in the highest floor of this building." He explained politely.
"Adeline! There you are." I can hear Ezra's voice coming from my left.
"Mr. Martin." The man behind the front desk greeted Ezra.
"Don't be ridiculous Ben, I told you to call me Ezra." Ezra said to Ben, emphasizing his own name.
"Yes, Ezra. Your friend didn't believe that you live in the penthouse, didn't you tell—" Ben's voice got cut off by Ezra, "Let's go, love." Ezra said as he snaked his arm around my waist. "And thank you Ben." He said before we headed to the elevator.
"What is it that you didn't tell me?" I snapped at him when the elevator door closed.
"Nothing." He answered simply.
"Nothing, huh? So this is how you want your relationship to be like? Keeping secrets from each other?" I'm so mad now. It really bugged me when someone keep secrets from me especially someone I have a close relationship with.
"Adeline please hear me out," and the strangest thing is I did. I listened to him and didn't give anymore remarks. "I didn't tell you I live in the penthouse because I know how you will react, and you will think I'm a spoiled brat, bloody hell it wasn't even my penthouse, it's my uncle's. He lent it to me as a thank you for my parents who have been raising his son because he was always busy with his businesses, and his wife were never around when he's not around."
"Hmm, okay, I believe you. Your face didn't scream 'bitch I'm rich so shut the fuck up' anyway." He looked down at me and gave me a small smile.
The elevator door opened and there was only one door in that floor, actually two with the emergency exit. He put his thumb on the biometric censor. Yeah, this penthouse use a freaking biometric password to open it. How rich is his uncle anyway?
"Where are we going to do the homework?" I asked him.
"The living room, if that's okay with you?" He said.
