"Brandon." We both turn around to see to whom the voice belongs to.

"Cara." Brandon looks a bit taken aback.

"What are you doing here?" The girl who I just found out the name is Cara asked.

"I'm taking some photographs for my Instagram and my blog." He answered.

"And who are you?" Cara sends me a smile.

"I'm Adeline." I give her a hand to shake but instead she pulls me into hug.

"Are you guys, you know... boyfriend and girlfriend?" She asked.

"No, no, no, we're just friends." I said. "Do you want to join us? Is it okay B?"

"Of course." Brandon said with a hint of excitement.

"Maybe some other time, I have somethings to do right now." She politely rejected it. "See you soon B, Adeline."

She waves goodbye, then disappearing to the crowds. "She's so nice." I mumbled.

"That's Cara for you." He said.

Who is she to him? No, I'm not jealous just curious. His eyes lit up when he realized it was her. I think there is something between them or was.

We wait until the sun sets. It's really beautiful up here and I know it's kinda cliche but it has always been in my bucket list to watch the sun sets from rooftop. I know it's not exactly a rooftop but this is way better. The brightness of the sun disappears and the lights from the buildings light up the city. It's beautiful. I took a picture from my phone then we went down to the lobby.

While we walk towards Brandon's car, I took glances at him and sometimes catch him smiling at me. He opens the door for me which he shouldn't have to but I enjoy it anyway. The engine revived and Brandon starts to drive off to the streets.

"Where are we going now?" I asked him.

"To this restaurant I really like, their seafood are to die for." He answered. "You're not allergic to any kind of seafood right?"

"No, no, not at all. I like seafood." I said. Seafood is nearly what I always eat back home. Did I tell you that my mom is a killer cook? She can make the nastiest looking food on earth tastes so delicious. Her speciality is Asian and a little bit of Mexican cuisine also baking. Being a good cook runs in the family. My dad is also a really good cook.

Let me tell you all a little bit about my family since I haven't talk about them that much. Both my parents comes from a biracial family and raised in a very cultured household. my dad is African-Italian, he moved to US with his family, back when he was 5 years old. And then there is my mom who's Japanese-Canadian she moves here when she was studying in college then both of my parents met.

"Adeline." Brandon's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah?" I looked at him.

"Penny for your thoughts?" He asked.

"You don't have a penny." I stated, showing my mischievous smile.

"Oh but I have." He took a penny out of his wallet, a smug smile plastered on his face.

"Okay fine." I gave in. "I was just thinking about my parents back in Jersey."

"Now, you're making me miss my parents." He said. "And so, what's about them?"

"You were saying about seafood and that reminds me so much of back home. Every once in awhile my parents will cook together for dinner, and they always make any type of cuisine with seafood. That's probably because of both grew up near the harbor." I explained.
