Greendale Club

POV Jug

We were having a great time at the club. The workers here were awesome and welcoming which I was a bit worried about. Not every place welcomes an out of town gang.

We had been here for a few hours and Fangs was dancing with a new guy. Toni and Sweet Pea were both making out with girls in different corners of the room. I was sitting at the bar chatting with the bartender, Dave. He's a big, friendly guy with a Chicago accent and attitude.

"So, Dave, why are you all so welcoming to us? Not many places are happy to see us. Especially since we're from Riverdale."

Dave chuckled, "Well, we have a group of three girls that come from Riverdale almost every week. They are the best ladies around, so you'll have to thank them. They have gotten close to most of the staff. They always have good things to say about the Serpents, evidently your older members have saved them on more than one occasion." I was shocked.

"Are they southside?" I asked

"Nope. Definitely not, but most of the time, I think they would prefer to be. They seem unhappy with their community. Guess that's partly why I like them so much. They seem to be hurting and hiding. This is one place where they can be free." Dave shrugged.

I was intrigued and asked more questions. Evidently the group consisted of a raven haired, a red head and a blonde. They started coming a about two years ago and were about my age. The only red head girl my age from the Northside that I could think of was Cheryl and there was no way she would be caught dead in a place like this. I laughed just imagining it. Besides the only blonde she would go anywhere with is Betty and sweet, perfect Betty wouldn't dare come to a club in Greendale.

I was about to ask Dave for their names when Sweet Pea approached me. "Boss it's a little after 10, we should probably get going"

I rolled my eyes. I had hoped that he would have calmed down after seeing how welcome we were but no, he was going to hold me to my promise.

"Alright, lets get one drink together and then go collect Fangs and Toni" I said and he nodded.

Around 10:30 we had found Fangs and we were searching the club for Toni. Finally we found her tucked into a random corner with a random girl.

"Took you long enough" she muttered as we pulled her away.

"That chick is clingy AF" she said and we chuckled. She wasn't kidding though, as I looked back I saw her girl following after us. So did the rest of us so we hurried toward the door.

As we neared the door, I saw the girls Dave was telling me about. It had to be them, three of them, a raven haired girl, a red head and a blonde. They were just coming in and they weren't dressed in a way I had ever seen any northsider dress. They were breathtaking and were immediately surrounded both by staff and patrons who knew them or wanted to. I tried to slow down to get a better view.

I saw the raven haired girl's face but didn't recognize her. The blond was kissing a random guy so I couldn't see her face but I finally caught the eye of the red head. I couldn't believe it. She must have said something because the blond looked up and towards me. In a flash I was taken back to elementary school, playing in Archie's yard. It couldn't be! I stopped in shock but she looked away immediately and Toni pulled me to keep going.

When we got outside, I shook my head to clear it. I must be drunker than I thought. It's a good thing that Fangs was driving us home. There was no way that I just Betty Cooper dressed like that in a club making out with random dudes. NO WAY.

Betty POV

Trigger warning: mention of assault and rape

We had just gotten to the club and it was looking like it was going to be a great night. I started making out with some dude, Sam I think. I like to make out but that's usually as far as I'll go. I'm not trying to be a tease but I'm just letting off a little steam. It's gotten me in trouble a few times.

Especially the time that one dude tried to follow us home. We spotted him right away and I called the only person I could think of at the time that I could trust and could be terrifying, Bear. He told us to go the Serpent bar, the Whyte Worm. When we pulled in, a big group of grown, scary men were waiting for us. Bear got in our car and talked to us while the big guys took care of the guy in the car behind us.

After the guy took off, we got out and thank the guys. I was surprised to see FP, Jug's dad, there. He smiled at me and I took him off to the side, "How's Jug?" I asked.

He looked surprised and said, "You could ask him yourself, he's inside. We didn't want to bring any of the young guys out because they tend to get too hotheaded, especially when girls are involved. Plus Bear didn't want them to hit on you."

I shook my head. "He knows where I am. I'm done trying to maintain a friendship with someone who doesn't want me."

FP looked sad but said, "I understand. If you ever get in trouble again, call me. You're family, even if my bonehead son doesn't see it." and gave me his number.

I've called FP a few times since then, usually just to check in but once when Chuck had tried to assault me and once when Nick tried to rape V. Both times he just said that they would take care of it and the next day Chuck showed up to school with a black eye and apologized to me in front of everyone at school and Nick left town and we never heard from him again.

Anyway, I was making out and all of a sudden I heard C curse. "Shit" she said and I looked up.

I followed her gaze and locked eyes with the one and only Jughead Jones.

I looked away right away and when I finally looked back up, he was gone.

"Where did he go, C?" I asked frantically.

"He left, thank God. Do you think he recognized us?" she asked, worried.

Suddenly I'm angry. Jughead left us, he left me. We were all friends and he just ghosted us. I tried and tried to reconnect with him and he ignored me at every chance.

"I don't care. He's nothing to us anymore. He made sure of that." I said and C nodded.

I made my way toward my favorite bartender, Dave.

"Speak of the devil" he laughed and hugged me.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"There was some Serpents in here earlier and one of them was asking about you girls. Don't worry, I didn't tell him your names or anything." he responded.

"They seemed like good people" he added. I shrugged and ordered a drink.

We ended up have a good night but for some reason, I couldn't get Jughead's face out of my mind. As we all laid down in V's room to sleep, I kept seeing him.
