POV Jughead

My dad and walked into the room with Toni, Fangs and Kevin.

"You are all excused for school for a few days. We decided to send you all to the Lodge's Beach house. It's two hours away and I think that it will good for you all to get away from here for a bit. The press is already starting to show up and none of you need to deal with that right now. We already cleared it with all the parents." Dad told us and we all sighed in relief

I took Betty home and Dad met us there a bit later with a bag packed for me. He also brought all the girls' prescriptions which he handed to me to watch after. Betty showered and changed while Alice packed her up and then we went out on the porch and waited. Betty kept glancing over at Archie's house.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I asked softly

"I just can't believe that I trusted him. It's my fault" she said

I turned and looked at her. I looked deep in her eyes and said, "This isn't your fault. He fooled us all. This is his fault"

She nodded but I could tell that she didn't really believe it.

V's car pulled up and we got in. Everyone else was already in there and we left for the beach house. We were quiet for a while. C, V and B all sat next to each other, holding one another and the rest of us tried not to stare at them.

"It was so nice of your Mom to let us use the beach house. What's it like?" Toni asked V

V looked at her and for a moment, I don't think that she is going to answer. Finally she said, "It's nice. It's right on the beach, you literally open the back door and you're on the beach. There's a hot tub and a pool too. "

"That sounds wonderful, V" Kevin said

"How should we do the bedrooms?" Fangs asked and we all looked at each other.

"There's five bedrooms so we will have lots of options." V explained without looking at anyone.

"Would you ladies feel better staying in the same room? Or do you want to do couples in each room?" I asked softly

C, B, and V all looked at each other. "Can we start together at least for the first night?" C asked shyly

"Of course. Whatever you want, baby" Toni said as she hugged C. C stiffened for a moment but then relaxed into it.

"Let's grab dinner somewhere now" B said about an hour later as she looked a V.

C nodded while looking at V too. We all looked at B in surprise but agreed. Kevin looked on his phone and found a cute restaurant a few minutes away. Fangs gave the driver the address and we soon pulled up to a cozy Italian restaurant.

We all got out and after I helped Betty out, she reached back and practically picked V up.

Sweets reached over and said, "I'll get her, Betts. It's okay"

He gently took V from her and helped her in and to her seat. I put my arm around Betts and help her to sit. C sat on the other side of me and V sat next to her.

"What was that all about?" I whispered to B.

She looked at me for a moment and then whispered back, "V sometimes has blood sugar issues. She will faint if she doesn't eat soon. See how pale and wobbly she is?"

I looked at V and see it.

"Here V, have some bread while we wait" I said right as the waiter put down the basket.

C and Betty both smiled at me gratefully and V ate a piece. Sweets looked at me in confusion but B, V and C seemed to relax a bit. When we ordered drinks, V started to order just water and I noticed C and B tense up.
