POV Betty

After eating breakfast we decided to go enjoy the beach. Toni showed us what rooms had our luggage in it and Jug and I went to our room. It was light and spacious and wonderful. I loved it. I unpacked and put on a pink one piece suit with polka dots. When I came out of the bathroom, Jug looked at me and smiled.

"You are so beautiful" he said and I smiled and kissed him.

He pulled me close and I cringed in pain. I tried to hide it with a cough but he saw though it.

"I'm so sorry. I need to remember to be gentle." He said

"It's okay." I said and he looked at me closely.

"You need another painkiller, don't you?" he asked and I shrugged

"Come on" he said and went and grabbed the bottle.

We went down to the kitchen where he got me a drink and gave me a pill. Everyone else was already downstairs.

Jug looked at C, V and Kevin and said "Do you all need some aspirin? The doctor said that you might"

"I just gave V one" Sweets said

"I'm good, thanks" Kevin said

"I'll take one, thanks" C said and Jug gave her one while Toni got her a drink.

We all grabbed some towels and headed out.

The beach was wonderful. We laid in the sun until we got too hot. Jug, Fangs and Sweets raced into the water as the rest of us waded in. After dunking each other for a while, Sweets, Fangs and Jug all came running over and started splashing us.

"NO! Jug!" I yelled and he smiled evilly.

He ran over and picked me up and ran out into the deep water with me.

"Take a deep breath" He said as he dove underwater still holding me.

He let me go under water and I surfaced. He came up behind me and put his arm around my waist.

"I'm going to get you back for that" I said and he smirked.

"I look forward to it" he said and kissed me.

The rest of the morning we played in the water. When we got hungry, we went in and made sandwiches. After lunch we decided to try out the pool.

C. V, Kevin and I rested in the lounge chairs while everyone else played in the pool.

"How are you all doing?" I asked

"I feel so guilty. I wish that I had fought harder. I can't believe that I let them take you" Kevin said sadly

V shook her head and said, "That's not true. You obviously fought hard. Look at your face. They drugged you besides if you had somehow been able to keep fighting, Archie would have shot you. You would be dead."

"She's right" I said and got up and hugged Kevin.

"Thanks. That helps" he said.

"And how are you two?" I asked V and C. They shrugged and I stared at them.

"I feel guilty too. That you got hurt. That Kevin got hurt. That Archie kissed you. That you had to attack him for us." V said

"Me too" C added.

I chuckled and said, "I feel guilty too. That he hit you two. That Kevin got hurt. That everyone was scared. That I was the reason that Archie and Malachi did this. I feel responsible for all of it."
