We all decided to hang out at V's most of the day. We watched movies all morning while I cuddled into Jug and relaxed with my friends. We ordered pizza for lunch and played poker in the afternoon.

"We finally found something Betts is bad at" Toni said after I lost my fifth hand and I laughed.

"I'm bad at lots of things including poker."

"I don't completely trust her on this. Especially after the whole pool scam" Sweets said

"Yeah. What if she's just pretending to lose to up the stakes?'' Fangs accused.

I laughed because while I am extraordinarily bad at poker, V is awesome and SHE was pretending to be bad to up the stakes. A fact that they all learned about an hour later.

"Read 'em and weep" V said while everyone but C and I groaned. Jug looked at the two of us as we tried to hide the fact that we were cracking up.

He narrowed his eyes as he said, "She's the one who hustles in poker, isn't she?"

C couldn't stop laughing and I shrugged my shoulders and said, "We had to cover all our angles."

After that, they all refused to play poker with her and we weren't sure what to do. V and Sweets wanted to drink but the rest of us didn't. Toni and C decided to go "hang out" in the bedroom. Kevin and Fangs watched another movie and Jug and I drifted to the porch to talk.

"Are you nervous about seeing Archie tonight?" he asked, worriedly

"Because we can cancel if you are"

I smiled, "I am but I need to do it. We all do. We need to clear the air."

Jug nodded "Why were you so upset about Sweets and I this morning? You didn't really think that there was something going on with us, did you?" I asked.

Jug paused and then said, "No. I know that you both are too loyal for that. I guess that I was just a bit hurt that you felt safer talking to him than to me. I know that's silly and I'm grateful that you have someone to talk to. I just, I don't know...." he trailed off.

I smirked "You want to be my hero? You want to save me?" I said bitterly.

"When you put it like that it sounds awful, but yeah. I know that I'm wrong and I'm working on it." he muttered.

I sighed, "I'm glad that you see how its wrong but I can understand how it would be hard for you. Maybe it would help to look at it like this, You are the reason I know Sweets and You are the reason that I opened up to him so in a way, anything he does to help me is because of you."

He smiled and said, "You don't need to make me feel better about this but thanks. That does kind of help."

We cuddled out on the porch for a few moments and then V and Sweets wandered out.

"Sweets is trying to back out of our bet" she whined to me.

"What! He can't do that!" I protested and glared at him.

He put his hands up and said, "I'm not trying to back out, I'm just saying that you kind of cheated with the whole boob thing AND the pool shark thing. I think that we need to amend the bet."

"I agree. I feel horribly taken advantage of." Jug whined.

I laughed and said, "What would make it fair? And don't think that you can get out of teaching V and C how to ride because they won't stop whining about it and I'm not doing it."
