The Party

POV Jug

I smiled at Betty's confusion. While we were waiting to see the girls earlier, Fangs talked us down. He made a lot of sense and by the time we were in line, we had decided to take them in the office to congratulate them. I realized that I couldn't control Betty and I didn't want to. I loved her strength and independence. I looked over to see Sweets hugging V and Fangs hugging both Toni and C.

I kissed Betts again and she looked at me and said, "You really aren't mad?"

I chuckled and said loudly, "I was at first. Sweets was too. Thankfully, Fangs talked some sense into us."

"Thanks, Fangs!" all the girl called and we laughed. Fangs came over to hug Betts and I went to hug Toni.

"Welcome, sister." I said and she grinned. I then went to V and C and hugged them too.

"I'm so glad that you are with us." I said and V replied, "We feel the same way about you."

I heard a scream and whipped around to see Sweets jumping up and down with Betts up in arms. I watched as he put her over his shoulder and V ran over to stop him. Instead of stopping him though, he just picked V up and put her on his other shoulder. We laughed and Fangs picked up C and I put Toni on my shoulder just as FP threw open the door.

"What are you doing to our girls?!" he yelled.

When we all laughed, he relaxed and said, "At least bring them out so we can all party together." So we did.

POV Betty

V and I were both still yelling to Sweets to put us down when he carried us out to the bar. We heard everyone laughing when we got there and I rolled my eyes. He finally set us down on a couple of stools by the bar. Jug put Toni down next to V and Fangs put C next to her. Bear came charging over to me, and picked me up in yet another big hug. The next few minutes were more of the same and all four of us were hugged and picked up.

Finally I found myself in the arms of Slim when FP shouted "Alright, everyone calm down. They aren't going anywhere, let them breath and for God's sake. PUT THEM DOWN. These poor girls are people, not your dolls."

Everyone chuckled but finally all four of us were standing on our own two feet. Slim set me down but held onto my shoulders.

He smiled down at me and asked, "How are you doing?"

"A bit overwhelmed but very happy" I said with a smile.

He nodded and hugged me close. "I'm so glad" he whispered very close to my ear and I shivered.

I pulled away and said, "Thanks. Me too".

Slim kept his arms around me and smiled. "I wanted to talk to you" he started but suddenly I felt small hands grab my shoulders.

I looked behind me and saw Toni. "Hi Slim, can I borrow Betts for a minute? I need to talk to her, Thanks" she said as she pulled me away.

Toni pulled me to a corner couch by the pool table and we sat down.

"What's up? Are you ok?" I asked and Toni smiled.

"I'm fine. I don't need anything, it just looked like Slim was about to make a move on you and you looked uncomfortable. I know that you could have handled it but Jug was watching the whole thing too and I don't want to see that fight tonight." I chuckled and thanked her.

Toni and I sat and chatted for a bit. Sweets brought us a couple of drinks and sat down next to me. I really enjoyed talking to both of them and learned a lot about them. They are both such wonderful people. They had some tough times in their lives and I felt honored that they trusted me enough to tell me about it.
